    Ans a. The family lived in a small town in Germany.
    Ans b. The old man (Kurt) lived with his son and daughter-in -law.
    Ans c. Manfred was carpenter. He made furniture and did some
    carving. He sold these things to the people in the town.

    daughter in -law.

    and climbed coconut plants all day.

    village.
    Ans e. Children took the cap of bottle with great difficulty and found
    piece of paper inside it.
    Ans f. Children took at the old Manu so that he could read it.

    Ans a. The car was stuck in the road that Priya saw from her
    window.
    Ans b. The driver was fixing the wheel of the car.
    Ans c. the traffic jam occurred on 1 august due to the big pothole in
    the road.
    Ans d. Auto stuck, a cyclist falls into gutter. Lorry has punctured and
    so many other accidents had taken place in two weeks.
    Ans e. The words are dangerous road and a gaping mouth used to
    describe the pothole.
    Ans f. Priya collected some compost few flowering shrubs and old
    watering can with water, three large sheets of cards and some wood.
    Ans g. Priya placed the three signs that she had made onto the side
    of the road.

    Ans a. Ravi was drawing a flying machine.


    Ans b. Uncle prasad was old and heavy and had a long moustache
    and a shiny bold head.
    Ans c. Ravi used some bamboo, string, a newspaper, a knife, a
    screwdriver and blue paints.
    Ans d. The plane took two months to build.
    Ans e. The loops were for the feet.
    Ans f. The bar was for put the hands to go to the left to right.
    Ans g. Uncle prasad thought Ravi’s machine would not fly because it
    was too small and had not engine.
    Ans h. Uncle prasad was not frightened because he thought the
    glinder would never leave the ground.
