Job Title: Production Repairs Engineer Location: Hunmanby

Department: Production Contract: Permanent

Reports To: Production Manager Direct Reports:

1.0 Job Summary & Role

Product Repairs Engineer has to support production through:

• Repairing production units and customer repairs


• Developing and maintaining SOPs for repairs
• Supporting production with Root Cause Analysis on reworked parts
• Compiling reports and in-depth analysis linked to repairs.
• Assisting and carrying out product test procedures to support the Test
Resources. Production and Development functions

2.0 Key Responsibilities & Main Duties

• Carry out fault finding tests in PCBs, finished goods and warranty repairs and complete
the corrective actions.
• Provide production repairs analysis and reports.
• Carry out test procedures.
• Record and collate test data and fill in fault reports for customers.
• To work within production process when required
• Carry out EMC and new product basic function testing.
• Test hardware development build and maintenance.
• Support process improvements and developments
• Indicate in real time where the faults occur in production line.
• Machinery maintenance, calibration, and profiling
• Other duties as required to ensure the production area operates effectively and
efficiently.

4.0 Key Performance Indicators

• Completion of all tasks and operation of all tools and machinery following DSE SOPs.
• Measure rework trends and indicate actions taken to reduce the cause of defects.
• Consistent achievement of the highest standard of production engineering quality.

5.0 Essential/Desirable Factors

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC level in
Electrical/Electronic Engineering or
relevant industry experience.
