Order:
In Government Order first read aboe, orders have been Issued to
direct the District Collectors to dispense oft with the Jamabandhi petion for the
Fasli year 1429 (2019-2020) and also to settle / dose the revenue accounts
only due to pandemic COVID-19 in the State. Further, the Government have
directed the District Collectors to recelve the petitions from the public through
the e-Sevai centers during third and rourth week of June 2020 and to give
suitable reply to all the Jamabandhi petitions. The Government have issued
notification extending restrictions in the territorial jurisdictions of the State of
Tamil Nadu up to 30.04.2021 with guidelines and relaxations in the
Government Order second and third read above.
2. The Additional Chief Secretary/ Commissioner of Revenue
Administration in his letter fourth read above has stated that for the Fasli Year
1430 (2020-2021) also, Jamabandhi has to be conducted for settement of
Vilage Accounts before 30h June 2021 for which notification with the details of
each officer who takes up Jamabandhi in Taluks and the dates on which t shall
be conducted at each Village in the Taluk should be published in the District
Gazette, well in advance.
3. The Additional Chief Secretary/ Commissioner of Revenue
Administration
has also stated that on account of increasing trend of COVID-19
cases cross the State, the Government have issued orders to extend
state-wide lock down with certain relaxations and certain restrictions.

people attending the Jamabandhi and it may not be possible to enforce the
directives of Government viz., wearing of masks, maintaining social

4. In view of the
above, the Additional Chief Secretary/ Commissioner of
Revenue Administration has requested that, on account of increasing trend of
COVID-19 cases across the State, the Government may

5. The Government have examined the proposal of the Additional Chief


Secretary/Commissioner of Revenue Administration in the light of the prevailing
situation and have decided to accept the proposal of the Additional Chief
Secretary/commissioner of Revenue Administration to dispense with the
petitions Jamabandhi for the Fasil year 1430 (2020-2021) and also instrut the
District Collectors to settle/ close the revenue accounts only, which are being
maintained and issue orders accordingly. However, thee District Collectors
directed to receive the petitions from the Public through online mode and to
give suitable reply to all the Jamabandhi petitions without fail.
