India is a very unique country in the world.

Its beauty is mesmerizing like

my own dream world. One of the oldest culture, a blend of colors. The
capital of the country is Delhi which is located in the heart of the nation. It
is also home to some very famous historical monument like the Red Fort
and the Qutub Minar. Nearby Delhi is Agra which houses the incredible Taj
Mahal one of the seven wonders of the world. It is a very big country with
varying demographic features too ranging from the mighty Himalayas in
the North to the vast Indian Ocean in the south. It is very rich in wildlife too
and has a very large amount of flora and fauna. There are twenty-eight
states and nine union territories and a number of rivers. India is also the
biggest democracy in the world. It is also the world’s biggest secular
republic which gives me the chance to interact with people from so many
different ethnicities and cultures firsthand. Being a secular country there
are a lot of festivals celebrated throughout the year like Diwali, Eid,
Christmas and Guru Parwa to name a few. India is also the birthplace of
some very prominent figures such as Mahatma Gandhi who is hailed as the
flagbearer of non-violence throughout the world. The country has also been
blessed with distinct architecture and historical mathematicians too.
Ramanujam and Aryabhatta are recognized throughout for continued
fractions and the discovery of zero respectively.

India is a famous country all around the world. Indians were slave to
British. They got independence after great sacrifices and struggles. They
were subjugated nation under the dominion of British. India became an
independent and sovereign state on 15th August 1947. Jawaharlal Nehru
became the first prime Minister of India. He hoisted the flag of the nation
and declared that India has woke up to life and freedom. India was declared
as the democratic state because till today India is the land to people
belonging to different religions, castes, cultures and traditions. India is one
of the oldest civilizations in the world, spanning a period of more than
4000 years, and witnessing the fusion of several customs and traditions,
which are reflective of the rich culture and heritage of the Country. The
history of the nation gives a glimpse into the magnanimity of its evolution -
from a Country reeling under colonialism, to one of the leading economies
in the global scenario. More than anything, the nationalistic fervour of the
people is the contributing force behind the culmination of such a
development. This transformation of the nation instills a sense of national
pride in the heart of every Indian within the Country and abroad, and this
section is a modest attempt at keeping its flame alive. India has the
second-largest population in the world. India is also knowns as Bharat,
Hindustan and sometimes Aryavart. It is surrounded by oceans from three
sides which are Bay Of Bengal in the east, the Arabian Sea in the west and
Indian oceans in the south. Tiger is the national animal of India. Peacock is
the national bird of India. Mango is the national fruit of India. “Jana Gana
Mana” is the national anthem of India. “Vande Mataram” is the national
song of India. Hockey is the national sport of India. People of different
religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Islam,
Christianity and Judaism lives together from ancient times. India is also
rich in monuments, tombs, churches, historical buildings, temples,
museums, scenic beauty, wildlife sanctuaries, places of architecture and
many more.

Out of all the countries throughout the world, I consider myself lucky
enough to be born in this wonderful multicultural country India. Living in
this country I feel privileged and proud to be a part of this cultural diversity.
I love my country and I hope to contribute to its progress once I grow up.
My country is my heart and my everything. My country is the land of peace
and happiness. It shares the oldest history of great civilization of world. I
am proud of my country India.

I truly feel proud to be an Indian for India is a country that is known for its
unity in diversity. It is a combination of people from many different ethnic
and racial backgrounds. This country takes a look at the various religions
being practiced in it but always treats its citizens as equals. This makes me
feel proud for I am a part of such a liberal and modernized country. India
thrives to makes its position better in the global world at all fields and I
hope to be a part of the system that helps us all to achieve that status one
day.
