Chapter Eleven

1. “Gently gently! You are too soon my boy!”

Rassendyll said that to himself in the moat when Rassendyll was watching Rupert and de
Mauban in the room. Rupert was telling de Mauban that the princess wasn’t enough for Black
Michael or he wanted to take everything. He meant that Rupert came earlier that the time
expected and that would change the plan.

2. “The moat can hold more than the King.”

Black Micheal said that to Rupert in Michael’s room when Rupert went to the room and told
her that Michael promised him to take her if he cut Rassendyll’s throat. Michael came to his
room and saw him. He meant that he could kill him as he’d do with the king.

3. How had Detchard prepared for this destruction?

When he killed the doctor he stepped in the blood flowing from the dead doctor. He slipped
and fell and before he could stand again Rassendyll drove his point through his neck.
Detchard fell heavily across the body of the loyal doctor.

4. How was the king saved?

When Rassendyll entered the room, he saw the king standing in the corner of the room. The
doctor had thrown himself on Detchard. Detchard killed him and stepped in his blood, so
Rassendyll killed him.

5. How was Rassendyll’s plan changed?

When Rupert visited Antoinette’s room earlier than what Rassendyll had expected, she
shouted. Michael had a fight with Rupert so his servants included Johann went to help their
master, so Johann wouldn’t be able to open the gate of the castle. Rassendyll killed De Gautet
and took the keys. He could reach the king’s room and save him.
