PRELIM
(BASKETBALL)
All About Basketball
Basketball is a team sport played between two teams
of five players each on a rectangular court, generally indoors.
The objective of the sport is to toss the ball through the
opponent’s basket (or goal), which is an elevated horizontal
ring with a net. Basketball may be called as the sole major sport
of US origin (there is a reasonable skepticism over Baseball’s
American origin). It was in 1891 that James Naismith invented
the game in Massachusetts.
Although mostly played in North America, the game
is now gaining wide popularity in Asian countries, especially in
China. Basketball is an Olympic game as well, having been
officially inducted in 1936.
Reaction in Basketball
Basketball, like any other sport, demands not just physical, but also mental
commitment to succeed. Basketball, in my opinion, is a team sport in which each of the five
players on the field must use their cerebral abilities to efficiently coordinate passes and score
points. When I watch basketball on occasion, I’ve seen that a player's skills should be honed while
their weaknesses are honed. This means that while some players excel in certain areas on the
field, good players must be able to play in more than two locations on the field at the same time.
Warming up should boost body temperature and heart rate, as I learned from
watching the video. It should also help athletes prepare for competition by reducing muscle
stiffness. Warm-ups also aid in the dilation of blood vessels, which reduces blood flow resistance.
It increases the range of motion and the efficiency of cooling. It is necessary for the players'
mental preparation. You employ both your upper and lower body when you play basketball. As a
result, it's critical to warm up and cool down your complete body properly. It is critical to prepare
properly for exercises and games in order to be successful. Because muscle stiffness is known to
be linked to muscle injury, athletes must perform warm-up and cool-down movements to avoid
injury. There are a plethora of fantastic exercise books and DVDs available to assist you in this
process. It's important to remember to warm up and cool down as soon as possible to avoid
damage.
Finally, basketball is a game that involves a player's physical as well as mental
commitment. When it comes to basketball, I feel that every player must be willing to work as a
team in order for a team to win a particular game. Basketball fans are also a part of the game.
Finally, I feel it is critical to ensure that the number of people at any basketball game is
manageable so that the game
can go well.
MIDTERM
(VOLLEYBALL)
All About Volleyball
Volleyball, game played by two teams, usually of
six players on a side, in which the players use their hands
to bat a ball back and forth over a high net, trying to
make the ball touch the court within the opponents’
playing area before it can be returned. To prevent this a
player on the opposing team bats the ball up and toward
a teammate before it touches the court surface—that
teammate may then volley it back across the net or bat it
to a third teammate who volleys it across the net. A team
is allowed only three touches of the ball before it must
be returned over the net.
Reaction in Volleyball
What I see in the video is that, the boy performs volleyball exercises. So, before I will react
let me explain first why we should do exercise before we play volleyball. As a result, stretching during
warm-up assists volleyball players in successfully preparing their bodies and muscles for volleyball-
specific motions. Volleyball players are as a result incredibly quick and perform well during the game. -
Stretches help to improve muscle coordination. Warming up your body helps it ready for aerobic
activities. Warming up your circulatory system progressively increases blood flow to your muscles and
raises your body temperature. Warming up can also aid with muscular discomfort and injury prevention.
The first warm-up he does in the video is a jumping jack. Jumping jacks, as we all know,
strengthen your glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps, hips, calves, and shins by working all of the major
muscles in your lower body. The more force and strength you build, the higher and faster you jump. To
boost the intensity and stress, you can wear a weighted vest. The second warm-up he did was called
"Running in Place." Running in place raises your heart rate, lowers your blood sugar, and burns calories
and fat, all of which aid weight loss. Additionally, you'll improve cardiovascular function, lung capacity,
and circulation. Head stretching is the third and final exercise that I will include in this reaction paper.
Stretching your neck at the end of your workout routine helps to increase flexibility, improve range of
motion, and reduce muscle soreness. Including this stretch in your daily practice will help relieve neck
strain, muscular knots, and tightness.
In conclusion, warming up your circulatory system progressively increases blood flow to
your muscles and raises your body temperature. Warming up can also aid with muscular discomfort and
injury prevention. Exercise is well recognized as beneficial for weight loss, bone and muscular strength,
and greater stamina. Nonetheless, the advantages of exercise extend far beyond these well-known truths
to a variety of other elements of health and wellness. Other benefits of exercise include a lower chance of
disease, enhanced brain health, higher energy, sleep, and sex, and, ultimately, a longer life.

My Reaction Paper in Volleyball vs Basketball
Basketball and volleyball are both competitive games played by two opposing teams. Each basketball team has 5 players, for a
total of 10, in contrast, the volleyball game is played with 2 to 6 players on each team. To win, both the game and the tips and tactics are
required; continuous practice is also required. Follow us if you're looking for the key differences between the two games. Basketball and
volleyball are both played with two hands and require pre-planned
collaboration. However, there are some significant differences between these two games; let us compare them.
Basketball is played on a huge rectangular court with a basket at the far end. Basketball players can run across the entire field
while playing. The basketball balls used for play are constructed of synthetic materials. Normally, there are several dents all over the
basketball. In a basketball game, you must continuously dribble the ball in order to shoot. Each of the two teams must have five players.
Basketball is a game that involves both physical and mental participation from the player. I feel that every player must be prepared to play as
a team since collaboration is crucial if a basketball team is to win a game. Basketball fans are also a part of the game. Finally, I feel it is critical
to ensure that the supporters that attend any basketball game are under control so that the game is not disrupted. While the volleyball is also
played on a wide rectangular court with a net in the center. Volleyball players are only allowed to run within their own sides. The leather
volleyball ball is used in volleyball games. You cannot drop the balls in a volleyball game; else, a point will be awarded to the opposing team.
Each volleyball team has two to six players. Volleyball is more difficult to play since it requires techniques and teamwork from numerous
players. Volleyball is a fun, technical, and competitive sport that is similar to basketball. To play volleyball and make a score, you must be able
to manage a high level of stress. An athletic body helps to play volleyball better; otherwise, the game is difficult to play. Volleyball will be
simple at start, but as you go through the levels, the sport will get more tough. You cannot even drop the ball once; otherwise, a score will be
awarded to the opposing team. Basketball requires an athlete's body as
well, because you'll need it.
Basketball has less fans than volleyball. Basketball has 825 projected followers, whereas volleyball has about 900 million.
Basketball is easily available and televised on television, but it remains relatively unpopular. The main reason volleyball has become so
popular is that the abilities and methods required to play the game are unique and difficult. Volleyball is also a gender-neutral sport that
requires a lot of collaboration. Basketball, like football, requires teamwork to win; however, women have less opportunities in this game,
though it is becoming more accessible to women. Volleyball is played in the Olympics, which are an international sporting event held every
four years. Volleyball is a fun, technical, and competitive sport that is similar to basketball. To play volleyball and make a score, you must be
able to manage a high level of stress. An athletic body helps to play volleyball better; otherwise, the game is difficult to play. Volleyball will be
simple at start, but as you go through the levels, the sport will get more tough.
