Please summarize the learning you got from the first video session of SPIP.
Summary Session 1 :
This session was about basics of personal interview i.e. what is personal interview, why it
is important and types of Personal interview.
What is interview?
An interview is a face-to-face conversation between the interviewer and the interviewee,
where the interviewer seeks replies from the interviewee for choosing a potential human
resource.
Why it is important?
Interview is important in order to evaluate the candidate, to know about the candidate their
interests and hobbies. To know whether the candidate has technical knowledge that is
required for the job or not. In simple words we can say they want to know whether he/she is
right candidate or not.

Summary Session 2 :
This session was about common mistakes candidates do in interview process and some of
them are :
Pre-post interview actions- when we get to know that we are shortlisted for interview
we start asking HR unnecessary questions that we should not ask.
Serious studying- Before interview we start serious studying thinking that it will help
us in cracking the interview but that’s not true. Instead we should focus on ourselves,
prepare questions on are profile, start reading the news and study about the company
for whose interview we are going to appear.
Bad representation- We don’t have a proper resume that explains each and everything
about us.
Reason to reject- we have to understand that companies don’t select the candidates,
they actually reject the ones who are suitable and those who are left get selected. So we
should focus more on not giving them reason to reject us.

This session was about understanding the interview process which is as follows:

We should understand that interview is like a football field because mostly there are two types
of questions which are asked in interview first are questions related to us and second are
related to our CV. When questions are about us we find it comfortable to answer them .i.e. we
are on our side of the football field. But when questions are on CV it becomes an event of
surprise for us, which is the point where interviewer tries to trap us i.e. we are on opponent’s
side of football field. So we have to prepare for both the things.

I handle stressful situation with patience and hope that everything will become normal we just
have to give it time.
