 Good afternoon everyone I am Juleus Cesar

Cadacio your presenter for today, what I would

like to share with you today is all about Learning
outside the classroom

 I wanted to honor the saying of Susan Mann:

 Teachers are mentors and play an active role in
helping students learn to think critically.
Tapping into different learning styles and
making real-world connections.

 GUESS ME: Direction: you have to identify the

given pictures what is being described.
 This picture Shows about Engaging outdoor
Learning Activities

 SCAVENGER HUNT: starts with a place or series

of locations in which players search for hidden
objects. it builds critical thinking skills.
 NATURE HIKE: How it works: Nature offers
plenty of discoveries for learners. Help them to
find certain types of leaves, rocks and flowers.
 How it promotes learning: it encourages
observation skills, fine motor skills.

 BASAHIN NASA SLIDE WHAAT IS LOTC

 It is about getting children and young people

out and about, providing them with challenging,
exciting and different experiences to help them
learn.

 This is not only about what we learn, but most

importantly, how and where we learn. It is
about improving young people’s understanding,
skills, values, personal and social development
and can act as a vehicle to develop young
people’s capacity and motivation to learn.
 With outdoor learning, the students get to work
on their teamwork skills, communication skills
and develop a better ability for handling real-
life situations.
 BASAHIN NASA SLIDE WHY LOTC IS IMPORATNT
 The outdoor learning experience is more
realistic, motivating, and leaves a mark on the
students.
 BENEFITS OF LOTC
 When these experiences are well planned,
safely managed and personalized to meet the
needs of every child they can: Bashin nasa slide

 The teacher, parent, or tutor emphasizing
educating a child is attentive and reflective
towards the skill development of the child.
 Learning outside the classroom can help
teachers create enthusiasm for learning,
provide a real-world context and expose
students to STEM careers.
 Students who experience learning outside the
classroom benefit from increased self-esteem
and become more engaged in their education.
 Develop skills and independence in a widening
range of environments.

 Develop interest in the environment and wider
surroundings. Learning outside can give you a
great opportunity to teach your pupils about
the environment and about your local area.
 This is an important part of developing them as
responsible citizens that can be difficult to
convey in the classroom.

 Reduce behavior problems and improve
attendance. Stimulate, inspire and improve
motivation.
 learning outside the classroom develops new
behavior skills and management tips in children.
 If you’re able to build outside play – and visits,
into your curriculum and engage and motivate
your pupils to learn, you’ll inevitably find that
they’re more motivated to turn up to school.

 There are of course disadvantages to teaching
outside. These are all points that can be
overcome, but they will require additional
work.
 HEALTH AND SAFETY- As a teacher you are
responsible for the children in your class.
There are certain health and safety regulation
that you must follow to ensure the safety of
your pupils and yourself.
 WEATHER: Not having the correct clothing
when the weather takes a turn for the worst
could prevent outdoor activities. In this case
you can remind the children the day before to
bring appropriate clothing for the outdoors.
