outside the classroom

plenty of discoveries for learners. Help them to
find certain types of leaves, rocks and flowers.
 How it promotes learning: it encourages
observation skills, fine motor skills.

out and about, providing them with challenging,
exciting and different experiences to help them
learn.
 This is not only about what we learn, but most

importantly, how and where we learn. It is
about improving young people’s understanding,

people’s capacity and motivation to learn.
 With outdoor learning, the students get to work
on their teamwork skills, communication skills
and develop a better ability for handling real-
life situations.

responsible for the children in your class.
There are certain health and safety regulation
that you must follow to ensure the safety of
your pupils and yourself.
 WEATHER: Not having the correct clothing
when the weather takes a turn for the worst
could prevent outdoor activities. In this case
you can remind the children the day before to
bring appropriate clothing for the outdoors.
