SANG CHÖD

Offering of fragrant smoke and purification


through this fumigation

The steps of the preliminaries for cleansing and purifying by means of fumigation

1. The Ablution

OMe THRO-GYAL CHEN-POI KU CHOG GI


OM! When the supreme divine form of the great Wrathful King

KYÖN GYI GANG RI TSE CHOM NÄeS


vanquishes the peak of the glacial mountain of faults,

DAG CHING TSANG-MAR SHAM-PA YI


cleansing and purifying,

BAG-CHAG DRIB SEL TSHÄN CHAB DI


karmic traces and obscurations are removed through this pure water.

TENG GI LHA YANG TSANG-WAR JYA


Above, the lha are thoroughly purified.

’OG GI LU YANG TSANG-WAR JYA


Below, the lu are thoroughly purified.

BAR GYI NYÄN YANG TSANG-WAR JYA


In the middle, the nyän become thoroughly purified.

DÄN THRI NAM KYANG TSANG-WAR JYA


Moreover, our beds and thrones are purified,

CHÄS GÖS NAM KYANG TSANG-WAR JYA


and our garments are purified as well!
YO-JYÄD DZÄS NAM KÜN KYANG TSANG GYUR-CHIG
Furthermore, all the implements and substances become purified!

OMe SHUDHO KU SHUDHO TSANG SALE SANGE YE SOHA!

2. The Fumigation

OMe THRO-GYAL CHEN-POI KU CHOG GI


OM! When the supreme divine form of the great Wrathful King

RI GYAL TSE LA NAG TSHAL CHÜD


(extracts) the essence from the forests on the peak of the king of mountains

DAG CHING TSANG-MAR SHAM-PA YI


(these offerings) are prepared as cleansed and purified

DRI ZHIM NGÄD -DÄN YID -’ONG PÖ


by means of these delightful incenses that are sweetly-scented and fragrant.

TENG GI LHA YANG SANG-WAR JYA


Above, the gods are thoroughly purified.

’OG GI LU YANG SANG-WAR JYA


Below, the lu are thoroughly purified.

BAR GYI NYÄN YANG SANG-WAR JYA


In the middle, the nyän become thoroughly purified.

DÄN THRI NAM KYANG TSANG-WAR JYA


Moreover, our beds and thrones are purified,

CHÄS GÖS NAM KYANG TSANG-WAR JYA


and our garments are purified as well!
YO-JYÄD DZÄS NAM KÜN KYANG TSANG GYUR-CHIG
Furthermore, all the implements and substances become purified!

OMe ZHIM ZHIM DRAM DRAM BUN-NE THIM THIM YE SOHA!

3. The securing of the boundaries 

OMe DAG GI TING-DZIN TOB DANG NI


OM! By the power of our contemplation

DE-ZHIN NYID KYI TOB CHOG GI


and by the supreme power of Reality,

NYUNG KAR GYAL-PO DI DAG KYANG


and also these supreme white mustard seeds,

THRO-WOI CHOG TE GEG LA PA


supreme among the wrathful Deities and heroic against obstructing forces,

SER GYI DOG TE NGAG KYI DA


being golden in colour and holding arrows of mantras,

DI DAG NGAG TE DRIM-PA YI


and because these mantras are scattered about everywhere,

GAL-TE NÖD -PAI GEG YÖD NA


if there exist any obstructing forces here that cause harm,

GEG NAM KÜN KYANG ZHI ZHING LAG-PAR JYA-O


may all these obstructors be either be pacified or crushed!
SO OMe NYE-LO-YO RU-RU PU-RU PU-RU DZA-LA DZA-LA TI-TA YA

MÄN THOR TSE TRA-MO-HA

DAG ZHÄN GYI GE-WA CHU LA BAR DU CHÖD  CHING MI-GE-WA CHU YI


DONG DROG
Creators of obstacles to the ten virtues of ourselves and others, and those joining as helpers of the then
vices,

JYED -PAI ZHI-WA SANG-CHÖD ME-THAB LA BAR DU CHÖD -PAI GEG


RIG LOG-PA-CHÄN NAM
(all) kinds of demons and holders of wrong views that create obstructions to those who perform the
peaceful sang offering and to the hearth –

TSHAM CHÖD CHIG

4. The Requesting of Consideration

OMe SHEN-RAB LA-MA RIG MÜN SEL DRÖN


O Supreme Shen Lama, the lamp that banishes the darkness of our ignorance,

THUG-JEI NGA-DAG YE-SHES DU DRAL MED


O sovereign of compassion, unseparable from primordial awareness,

PÖN-SÄS LA-MA DAG LA GONG SU SOL


O Divine Lama, please heed us!

A OM HUM

DAG NI TONG SUM SID SUM JIG-TEN GYI


As for ourselves, in this world (embedded in) the billion universes and the three realms,
NYÄN DRAG DI CHYÖD DI DRUB MA LAG TE
these pleasant sounds (of the Dharma) and this (virtuous) conduct (of the Dharma) have not yet been
realized by us!

RIG-PA TUL-SHUG THUG-JE TSHÄD MED KYI


By means of his powerful discipline of Awareness and his unbounded compassion,

KÜN-TU ZANG-PO LA-NA MED -PA YI


on the part of the unsurpassed Küntu Zangpo,

JYANG-CHUB CHOG SEM DAG GI KYED -PAR GYI


we shall now come to produce the thought of supreme enlightenment!

DI NÄS YUNG-DRUNG NYING-POR CHI KYI BAR


From now on until we proceed into the Indestructable Essence,

DRO-WAI DÖN DU SEM CHOG KYED -PAR GYI-O


for the benefit of all sentient beings, we shall produce this supreme intention!

5. The Going to Refuge

SHEN-RAB LA-MA KU SUM JYUNG-NÄS PAL


to supreme Shen Lamas, the abundant source of the Trikaya,

DÜS SUM DER-SHEG DRO-WA YONG KYI GÖN


to the Dershegs of the three times who are the protectors of all living beings,

KU-ZUG ZHAL-KYIN KU-DUNG SUNG-RAB TEN


to the images, the representations, the reliquaries, and the scriptures, all of which are the supports (of
the Doctrine),

CHYOG CHUI SHEN-RAB THAR LAM TÖN-PAI DRÖN


and to the Shenrabpas of the ten directions who are the lamps illuminating the path to liberation,
NÄS ZHIR CHYAG TSHAL DRO KÜN KYAB SU CHI-O
to these four Objects, we and all other living beings prostrate and go for refuge!

6. The Confessing of Negative Actions

NAMO! SID -PA CHAG NÄS DÜS DIR BAR DU NI


From the creation of existence until this present time,

KU DANG YE-SHES DAM DANG TSHIG NÖS NÄS


having promised solemnly to the Wisdom Bodies,

DE-TAR MA-TOG NYAM DRIB KYÖN GYI GÖS


consequently, not having the experience of realisation, being sullied by obscurations and defects,

ZHI THRO DZU-THRUL LHA YI KYIL-KHOR DU


in front of the Mandala of the Peaceful and Wrathful Deities who are magical apparitions,

NYAM DRÄN NONG GYÖD SEM DANG DUNG TSHIG GI


recalling these transgressions, feeling sorrow and regret, with words of sadness,

DAM NYAM KÜN DANG DÜS DANG NÄS CHIG CHING


bringing all of these transgressions of our vows into (this) single time and place

NYAM DANG TSHOG DRE NYAM-PA KONG LA SOG


merging together the multitude of transgressions, and furthermore, for completing the transgressions,

NYAM KYI ZÄS ZÖS NYAM KYI CHU TUNG-PA


having eaten food from transgressors and drunken water from transgressors:

GYU-THRUL ZHI THROI LHA LA THOL-LO SHAG


To the magical display of the Peaceful and Wrathful Deities, we make attonement and confession.
THOL SHAG PHUL NÄS TSHANG-PA TSAL DU SOL
Having presented this attonement and confession, we pray that purification is bestowed upon us!

7. The Generation of the Fire Deities

A A KAR SA-LE ’ÖD  A YANG OM DU!

A DAG-NYID KU SUNG THUG KYI ME LHA RU SAL-WAI THUG-KA NÄS


With A, we manifest the Fire Deities of the Body, Speech and Mind, appearing clearly from our heart
centres.

A YAM RAM MAM KHAM DRUM DE NAM ME THAB KYI ZHAB SU THRÖS
TE
A YAM RAM MAM KHAM DRUM! Thereupon these syllables emanate (from our heart centers) to
the the foot of the hearth.

’ÖD DU ZHU-WA LÄS PHO-DRANG BAR-WA ME YI ZHAL-YÄS KHANG


From their melting into light, the celestial mansion of the palace of blazing fire (manifests).

CHYI TAR-NA YUNG-DRUNG KÖD LEG CHÖD TEN GYI YIB


In its outer aspect, it has the shape of the well-arranged indestructable chörten.

NANG TAR-NA BAR-WA ME YI PHO DRANG


In its inner aspect, it is a palace of blazing fire,

NYAM GA-WA YID DU ONG-WA


delightful and attractive,

GYA-CHE LA PANG THO-WA


vast and high,

DEI ÜS SU ME LHA GYÜN GYI LHA TSHOG


And in the middle of that, there reside the divine hosts of the everlasting Fire Deities.
SHAR DU ZHI-WAI LHA TSHOG
In the east, there are the hosts of Deities of the pacifying activities.

JYANG DU GYÄS -PAI LHA TSHOG


In the north, there are the hosts of Deities of the enriching activities.

NUB TU WANG GI LHA TSHOG


In the west, there are the hosts of Deities of the powerful activities.

LHO RU DRAG-POI LHA TSHOG


In the south, there are the hosts of Deities of the fierce activities.

DEI CHYI RIM DU BÖN-KYONG PAL-GÖN NOR-LHA DE-GYÄD RIG DRUG


DANG CHÄS -PA NAM KYI KOR-WA
Outside of that, arrayed in successive rows surrounding them, there are the Bön Protectors, the
Glorious Protectors, the Wealth Deities, as well as the eight classes of spirits, together with the beings
of the six realms.

DE DAG GI THUG LÄS ’ÖD ZER YAR THRÖS


From their hearts, rays of light emanate upward

YING NÄS YE-SHES SEM-PA CHYÄN-DRANG


And invoke hither the Wisdom Beings from Space.

KYED -PAI LHA TSHOG NAM LA THIM-PÄS


And as they are absorbed into these hosts of Deities that are generated (by visualization),

NYI-MED LÄS KYI SEM-PA RU GYUR NÄS


(the Wisdom Beings) become inseparable from the Action Beings

DRO DÖN GYA LAG CHYÄD -PAR GYUR


and they go about everywhere in order to accomplish the benefit of beings.

YANG DAG GI THUG LÄS RAM YAM MAM SUM THRÖS NÄS
Again, from our own heart centres, there emanate the three (syllables) RAM YAM MAM

CHÖD DZÄS DANG SEG DZÄS NAM LA PHOG TE ’ÖD DU ZHU-WA LÄS
which strike the offering substances and the fuel substances which melt into light and thus
CHYI TAR-NA ZUG DRA DRI RO REG GYÄN BÖN TER
in their outer aspect, they become (the delightful sense qualities of) sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and
touchable (mental) phenomena, and treasures;

NANG TAR NA CHÖD BUL GYI LHA-MO


in their inner aspect, they become the the goddesses presenting the offerings;

SANG-WA TAR NA TOG-MED YE-SHES KYI CHÖD -PA GYA-CHEN-PO RU


GYUR NÄS
in their secret aspect, they become a vastly immense offering of primordial awareness devoid of
discursive thoughts.

KYED -PAI LHA TSHOG NAM LA PHUL-WÄS


Presenting (them) to these hosts of Deities who have been generated (by our visualisation),

KU SUNG THUG NYE RAB KYI CHOG GYES RAB KYI PHUL DAM-PA
DANG DÄN-PAR GYUR-CHIG
may these offerings become exceedingly pleasing to the Body, Speech, and Mind (of the Deities),
utterly delightful, holy offerings!

8. Offerings to the Objects of Refuge

MÄD -JYUNG CHÖD -PAI LONG CHYÖD


For the perfect enjoyment of this marvelous offering,

MI ZÄD GYÜN GYI SANG-CHÖD DI BUL-WAI NÄS SU GYUR NI


for presenting this inexhaustible continuous fumigation offering, this place is transformed as follows:

ZHING-KHAM NAM-PAR DAG-PAI PHO-DRANG NA


Inside a palace within a completely pure realm

BÖN-KU KYE-WA MED -PA


[reside] the unborn Bönku
DZOG-KU TSHÄN DANG DÄN PA
the Dzogku possessing all the attributes,

TRUL-KU DRO DÖN DZÄD -PA


and the Nirmanakaya that accomplishes the benefit of beings,

ZHI-WA LHÜN GYI DRUB-PA


who spontaneously complete all pacification,

GYÄS -PA THA RU CHYIN-PA


who completely perfect the increasing activities,

THRO-WO MÄD DU JYUNG-WA


who excel in wrathful action,

DRAG-POI DRA GEG DROL-WA


forcefully liberating enemies and obstructors,

PHO-NYA LÄS LA NYUR WA


together with their Messengers who act quickly,

MA SING THU TSAL CHE-WA


the greatly powerful and energetic Mothers and Sisters,

KU SUM DZOG-PAI SANG-GYÄS


the Buddhas perfected with the Three Kayas,

DÜS SUM GYI DE-WAR SHEG-PA


the Blissfully moving Ones of the three times,

SA CHUI YUNG-DRUNG SEM-PA


the Bodhisattvas of the ten stages,

GYUD -DÄN GYI LA-MA DAM-PA


the excellent Lamas who possess all the lineages,
NÄS SUM MA SING KHADRO
the Khandromas, Mothers and Sisters, of the three worlds,

TEN SUM MA-RIG MÜN SEL


the three supports (images, scriptures and stupas) that remove the darkness of ignorance,

SID SUM CHYOG CHUI SHEN-RAB KHOR DANG CHÄS -PA NAM LA
And the Shenrabpas (Bodhisattvas) of the ten directions and the three realms, together with their
retinues – to all of them:

MI-ZÄD GYÜN GYI CHÖD -PA DI PHUL-WÄS


by way of presenting this inexhaustible and continous offering,

THUG-DAM NYÄN-PO GYÜD YONG SU KANG-NGO ◦


may we entirely fulfil the sacred bond with the powerful streams of their minds!

In particular, to the Great Mother Satrig Ersang as well as

to the hosts of Deities who are the completely pure Daughters and the Mother;

to the four principal Dershegs as well as

YUNG-DRUNG LONG-GYÄS KYI LHA TSHOG


to the hosts of Deities of the Yungdrung Long-gyä scripture;

to the three Bodies of the Fire Deities as well as

JYIN-SEG GYÜN GYI LHA TSHOG


to the hosts of Deities of the continous fire offerings;

KÜN-TU ZANG-PO LA SOG


to Küntu Zangpo as well as
DER-SHEG ZHI-WAI LHA TSHOG
to the hosts of Deities who are peaceful Beings Gone into Bliss;

KÜN-NANG KHYAB-PA LA SOG


to Künnang Khyabpa as well as

NGO-TSHAR GYÄS -PAI LHA TSHOG


to the hosts of Deities who miraculously increase (prosperity),

TSO-CHOG KHA-GYING LA SOG


to Tsochog Khagying as well as

JYIN-LAB WANG GI LHA TSHOG


to the hosts of Deities whose blessings are the power to control;

WAL-SÄS NGAM-PA LA SOG


to Walse Ngampa as well as

THU-TOB DRAG-POI LHA TSHOG


to the hosts of Deities who are powerful and fierce;

to Drugse Chempa as well as

to the hosts of Deities of the phurpas that bring deliverance;

to the Three Protectors (A-ti Mu-wer, Ku-jyi Mang-ke, and Ge-khöd),

to the hosts of immaculate Zhangzhung Deities (from the Gekhöd- and Meri-cycles)

to Sangchog Tarthug as well as
MA GYÜD KHA-nDROI LHA TSHOG
to the hosts of Khandro Deities of the Mother Tantra cycle;

to the hosts of Deities who are the Great Lamas and the Rigdzins;

KAL-PA ZANG-MO LA SOG


to Kalpa Zangmo as well as

MA SING KHA-nDROI LHA TSOG


to the hosts of Deities who are Khandromas, mothers and sisters;

TSHE-WANG RIG-nDZIN LA SOG


to Tsewang Rigdzin as well as

PA-WO PHO-GYÜD KYI LHA TSHOG


to the hosts of Deities who are the Pawo of the male lineage;

THUG-JE KÜN-DROL LA SOG


to Thugje Kündrol as well as

PA-MO GÖD -CHAM GYI LHA TSHOG


to the hosts of Deities who are the Pamo Gödcham;

SID -PAI GYAL-MO LA SOG


to Sidpai Gyalmo as well as

KA-SUNG BÖN-KYONG GYI LHA TSHOG


to the hosts of Deities who are Guardians of the Precepts and Protectors of Bön;

KHYEN TSE TOB DANG DÄN-PA


all of them possessing the powers of knowledge and love,

DRO DUL THAB LA KHÄS -PA


being expert in the means of converting beings,

TSO KHOR TRUL-PA YANG TRUL PHO-NYA DANG CHÄS -PA NAM LA
both the principal Deities and their retinues, as well as their emanations and further emanations,
together with their messengers – To all of them:
MI-ZÄD GYÜN GYI CHÖD -PA DI PHUL-WÄS
by way of presenting this inexhaustible and continous offering,

THUG-DAM NYÄN-PO GYÜD YONG SU KANG-NGO


may we entirely fulfil the sacred bond with the powerful streams of their minds!

ZHÄN YANG YUNG-DRUNG BÖN TÄN-PA SUNG-WAR ZHAL GYI ZHES -PAI
Furthermore, to those who promised to guard the teachings of Yungdrung Bön,

MA CHOG SID -PAI GYAL-MO


to Supreme Mother Sidpai Gyalmo,

DAM-CHÄN NAM-CHYI CHED ZHI


to four oath-bound Namchyi sisters,

SID -PAI GYAL-MO DE DRUG


to six (emanated) troops of Sidpai Gyalmo,

KA YI JYA-RA-MA SUM
And to the three Jyaramas who are watchers over the Precepts,

DRE’U MAR NAG GI LHA TSHOG


to hosts of Deities who are riders of the red and the black mules,

DAM-CHÄN YUM-SÄS DE NGA


to five troops of oath-bound Mother and Daughters,

MA DRA-bLAI GYAL-MO TAG RI RONG


to the Mother, the Queen of the Drabla, Tag-ri-rong,

JYANG MÄN GYAL-MO KU-MA-RA


to Queen of the Mänmo goddesses in the north, Kumara,

SANG YUM LU-MO ’ÖD -BAR-MA LA SOG


And to the secret consort, the female lu ’Öbarma, and so on —
DAM-CHÄN MO-GYÜD SUNG-MAI DE TSHOG NAM LA
Among these hosts of female oath-bound Guardians of the lineages, to all of them:

MI-ZÄD GYÜN GYI CHÖD -PA DI PHUL-WÄS


by way of presenting this inexhaustible and continous offering,

THUG-DAM NYÄN-PO GYÜD YONG SU KANG-NGO ◦


may we entirely fulfil the sacred bond with the powerful streams of their minds!

Furthermore, to the bloody-headed Mi-dü Jyampa,

DÜD -TSÄN DRA-WA MAR NAG GI LHA TSHOG


to hosts of Deities who are dü-tsän, both red and black, holding nets,

TSÄN GÖD HUR-PA SÖD KYED


to wild tsän Hurpa who can cause death,

DRAG-TSÄN A-bSE GYAL-WA


to rock tsän Abse Gyalwa,

TÄN SUNG MA-NYÄN POM-RA


to guardian of the teachings, Ma-nyän Pomra,

MAG-PÖN GYAL-PO YANG NI WER


to General of the gyalpo spirits, Yang-ni-wer,

NÖD -JYIN NOR-DAG KU-BE-RA


to owner of the wealth of the nö-jyin, Kubera,

GYAL-PO CHEN-PO NYI-PANG-SÄD


to great king Nyipangsä,

DROG CHOG CHEN-PO GYAL-WA BAR


to excellent great friend, Gyalwabar,
GYAL-PO CHEN-PO SHEL-THRAB-CHÄN
to great king, Shelthrabchän,

GYAL-CHEN NOR-LHA DRAG-SENG SOG


to great king, the wealth god Dragseng,

DAM-CHÄN PHO-GYÜD SUNG-MAI DE TSHOG NAM LA


And to all those hosts of oath-bound Guardians belonging to the male lineage,

MI-ZÄD GYÜN GYI CHÖD -PA DI PHUL-WÄS


by way of presenting this inexhaustible and continous offering,

THUG-DAM NYÄN-PO GYÜD YONG SU KANG-NGO ◦


may we entirely fulfil the sacred bond with the powerful streams of their minds!

ZHÄN YANG JIG-TEN GYI PAL-GÖN DÜN-CHU TSA NYI


Furthermore, to the seventy-two pal-gön, the glorious protectors of the world,

KA YI LHA MA SIN DE GYÜD


to eight classes among the gods and demons who obey the commands,

BÖD KYI GUR-LHA CHU-SUM


to thirteen gur-lha ancestor gods of Tibet,

JIG-TEN GYI TÄN-MA CHU NYI


to twelve tän-ma goddesses of the world,

MA RIG SUM-GYA DRUG-CHU


to three hundred and sixty gods of the ma race,

MÄN TSOG GU THRI GU BUM


to ninety-nine hundred-thousand lesser mänmo goddesses,

YUL RI DI YI ZHI DAG


to the owners of this land and its mountains,
WEN RI DI YI SUNG-MA NAM LA
And to the guardians of the places of solitude in the mountains,

MI ZÄD GYÜN GYI CHÖD -PA DI PHUL-WÄS


because we offer this continuous and inexhaustible fumigation offering,

THUG-DAM NYÄN-PO GYUD YONG SU KANG-NÄS


we entirely propitiate the mind-streams of these fierce ones!

LÄS CHYÖD KAR-PO GE-WAI DONG DROG GYA-CHEN-PO DZÄD DU SOL-


LO
And having done so, we pray that they may engage in white actions and become extensively friends
and helpers of virtue!

Furthermore, upon those beings of the four kinds of birth found in the three realms,

LAM GYÜD NGA DRO-WA RIG DRUG


Upon those living beings of the six realms proceeding along the five paths,

TEN MED YID CHYO-WAI NÄS SU


As well as those beings who wander about everywhere without support for their mind,

DÜD -TSI CHAR ZHIN DU BEB-PAR GYUR-CHIG


May there descend upon all of them these great rainfalls of nectars!

DE TAR SID -ZHUI DRÖN DANG


Similarly, to those guests who are worthy of our reverence,

YÖN-TÄN GYI DRÖN DANG

adorned with various kinds of precious jewel ornaments,

is generated in the middle of the Fire Mandala.

Into her mouth, we offer a dough containing syrup, juniper, flour and butter.

fresh samples of chang, libations of golden liquor, and various kinds of grains,

paper money looking like old Chinese coins and different colored woollen threads (hung on trees),

as well as barley grains, a part of them scorched, representing ten thousand white (sheep) and one
thousand black ones (yaks),

Now become rendered non-existent without deception,

KYE-MED YE-SHES A YING SU


(Dissolving) into the dimension of A which is uncreated primal Awareness!

YUNG-DRUNG DAM-PAI DRAG THOG TU


On top of that rock which is indestructible and sacred,

MI NUB GYAL-TSHÄN DZUG-PAR SHOG 


May we plant the victory banner (of the Dharma) that will never decline!

Prayer of Aspiration
ZHI-WAR GYUR CHIG DÜD KYI DE
May the troops of demons become pacified!
TONG-PAR GYUR CHIG NGÄN-SONG SUM
May the three evil destinies become emptied (of beings)!

DAR ZHING GYÄS GYUR YUNG-DRUNG BÖN


May Yungdrung Bon increase and spread!

DE-ZHIN YONG KHYAB SEM-CHÄN NAM


As for the sentient beings who pervade everywhere,

JYANG-WAR GYUR CHIG DIG DANG DRIB


may all their sins and obscurations become purified!

PHEL-WAR GYUR CHIG DE-WAI TSHOG


May their accumulations of merit increase!

TRA-SHI THOB CHIG YÖN GYI DAG


May our patrons obtain good fortune!

THÖ-PAR GYUR CHIG TÖN-PAI KA


And may the precepts of the Teachers be heard!

TSÄN-PAR GYUR CHIG MÖN-LAM THA


May all our prayers of aspiration be efficacious!

CHYOG CHUI DÜS SUM DE-WAR SHEG


As for the Dewar Shegpas of the three times and the ten directions,

DAG DANG THA-YÄS SEM-CHÄN NAM


may we and infinite numbers of sentient beings

NYI-MED NGANG LA NYAM GYUR CHIG


become equal to them in the state of non-duality!

TÖN-PAI THUG-JE CHE-WAR SHOG


May the compassion of the Teacher be great!
LHA YI MÖN-LAM TSÄN-PAR SHOG
May the aspiration prayers to the divinities be powerful!

BÖN GYI TÄN-PA DAR-WAR SHOG


May the teachings of Bon spread!

SEM-CHÄN DE KYID DZOM-PAR SHOG


May the happiness of sentient beings abound!

MI GEI DIG TSHOG NUB-PAR SHOG


May the masses of sins and non-virtues decline!

SIN GYI MÖD -PA GÜD -PAR SHOG


May the maledictions of the demons grow weaker!

KHOR-WAI SEM-CHÄN THAM-CHÄD KYANG


Moreover, may all the sentient beings of samsara,

DUG-NGAL NYA-NGÄN GYÜN CHÄD NÄS


having cut the stream of misery and suffering,

TRA-SHIS DAM-PA THOB-PAR SHOG


obtain unexcelled good fortune!

Invoking the Beings Gone into Bliss, we do homage and offer puja to them.

We make confession, affirm our vows, and offer prayers before them.

MÖN-LAM TAB-PAI GE-WA CHI SAG-PA


And reciting our commitments, whatever merits we may have accumulated
DRO-WA NAM DANG THÜN-MONG CHYIR JYÄS TE
with our actions in general, in ordinary life among sentient beings,

KÜN KYANG LA-MED DRÄS -BU THOB JYAI CHYIR


indeed, all of them, in order to obtain the unsurpassed fruit (of enlightenment),

DAG ZHÄN DÖN DU JYANG-CHUB SA LA NGO


we dedicate to the attaining of the stage of ultimate enlightenment for the benefit of both ourselves and
others,

NGA-RAB DÄS -PAI SHEN-RAB THAM-CHÄD KYIS


just as all the Shenrabpas of past generations,

MIG-PA MED -PAR NGÖS -PA CHI-ZHIN DU


similarly dedicated (their merit) without conceptions.

DAG ZHÄN GE TSA SÖD -NAM CHI SAG-PA


Therefore, whatever virtuous roots of merit are accumulated by ourselves and others,

DAG KYANG DE-ZHIN MIG-PA MED -PAR YONG SU NGO-WAR GYI-O


we also dedicate without conceptions in the same way!

GO SUM DAG-PAI GE-WA GANG GYI -PA
Whatever merit I have accumulated through the purity of my three gates,
KHAM SUM SEM-CHÄN NAM KYI DÖN DU NGO
I dedicate to the benefit of all the sentient beings of the three realms.

DÜS SUM SAG-PAI LÄS DRIB KÜN JYANG NÄS


Having cleared all the karmic obscurations accumulated through the three times,

KU SUM DZOG-PAI SANG-GYÄS NYUR THOB SHOG


may (we all) quickly attain the Buddhahood of the perfect three Kayas!
