Being the premium business support organization of Pakistan, LCCI is the representative trade body of Lahore with a diverse
membership base of more than 30,000 business houses, belonging to diverse sectors of the economy like Textiles, Rice, Leather,
Pharmaceuticals, Auto Parts, Processed Food, Carpets and also the non-traditional sectors like Information Technology, Tourism,
Halal Meat, Services and Logistics etc. The members of Lahore Chamber are contributing substantially in the export revenues of
the country. The central city of Pakistan Lahore alone has a significant contribution of around 11% in the GDP and around 20% (in
excess of 5 Billion Dollars) in exports. LCCI always plays a vital role in trade and business promotion.In order to that LCCI arranges
multiple business delegations over the years. It is worth mentioning that LCCI took a delegation in 2013 to USA and participated in
business expo. In the past 5 years delegations to UK, Iran, South Africa, Azerbaijan, France, Germany, India,Kenya etc were arranged
on self financed basis.

The United States is the biggest market for Pakistan’s exports and accounts for around 20% of Pakistan’s
total exports with an export value of US $ 5.029 Billion in the year 2020-21 whereas it is the 3 rd biggest supplying market for
Pakistan imports with an import value of US $ 2.445 Billion in 2020-21. Currently, Pakistan is the 47 th largest importing partner and
52 nd largest exporting partner of the U.S in excess of US$ 7 Billion in 2021. The U.S. is one of the few countries with which Pakistan
enjoys a trade surplus. Pakistan is located in one of the world’s fastest-growing regions in the world. It is an emerging economy
with the growth trade in excess of 5% in 2021-22 and rapidly growing export sector of Textiles, Rice, Information & Technology, Food,
Carpets and Tourism. Keeping above in view the importance of USA and Pakistan trade potential, LCCI aims to hold Pak-USA Multi
Sectoral Trade Delegation scheduled in November, 2022 in United States of America. Main objectives

To improve the soft image
of Pakistan through catalogue exhibition for the sectors mentioned above
To enhance the export of value added product of above
mentioned sectors in USA market.
To promote Tourism sector of Pakistan and project Pakistan as a tourist destination.
Collaborate
and link the buyers directly with manufacturers.
Promote new Brands and Businesses in USA.
Focusing on USA as Frontier for
exports.
Awareness for Pakistani business community regarding business opportunities in USA and potential JVs.
Facilitation in
interaction of business community and exploring new avenues of cooperation in USA.
B2B engagements.
Promote craftsmanship/
artisans of Pakistan to promote value added exports.
Further support the growing IT industry as USA is a leading market for IT
sector

There is a dire need for Pakistan to export value added products to US market since the trading dynamics of economies around the
world has changed. In order to realize the true potential of exports, 10 Days trade delegation to United States of America for 30
delegated in the field of Apparel and textiles, IT, Rice, Carpets and Tourism is required to provide more opportunities for our
businessmen and promote soft image of Pakistan. Pakistani delegates will display their products to establish business linkages
with the buyers and manufacturers, understand market demand.and create awareness of their brands. The detailed Activities are
given below

The delegates
working for the sectors mentioned above are selected based on their turnover, export volume, product quality and their exposure
to USA market. It evident from the fact that these members are engaged in exports to different parts of the world and looking to
diversify their export market & increase their export revenues by finding prospective business partners. In order to facilitate
members Houston and New York Chamber of Commerce will be visited. In this regard Pakistan Mission in USA has given
confirmation for the meetings and activities as per the schedule. Following are numbers of selected delegates

1 from Tourist Industry

Role of TDAP:
Finalization of the programme of Delegation, Facilitation for Catalogue Exhibition, Biryani Festival, visits & proposed events,
Disbursement of EDF funding, Liaison with LCCI and Mission.
Role of Mission: Confirmation of hotel room bookings, flight
itineraries. Facilitating the entire delegation in USA, with inland transport, logistical help and B2B meetings.

The current economic
situation has resulted in increase in the cost of doing business and liquidity challenges for businesses in Pakistan. The EDF funding
will help businesses find new prospective partners and explore new avenues for enhancing their exports revenue.
The cost
mentioned has been confirmed by Pakistan Mission in USA and TDAP.

Exports have a paramount importance in Pakistan’s economy as they are the main source of revenue generation and employment
creation especially in Textile sector of Pakistan. In this scenario the generation of exports revenues is imperative for growth of
industries an to deal with multi-dimensional economic challenges that have confronted our nation. Rational for increase in
Exports: Increase in quantity of exports, Increase in Value added items, increase in industrialization. The details of B2B meetings
and MoU signing and catalogue exhibitions are given below.
