    I Activity Title : ORIENTATION ON GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT


    CONCEPTS AND MANDATES FOR ANITAPAN
    ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS AND
    STAKEHOLDERS

    RA 9710 or the Magna Carta of Women mandates all national government


    agencies and instrumentalities to mainstream Gender and Development. The General
    Appropriations Act (GAA) also directed the said concerned agencies to allocate 5% of
    their total appropriations to Gender and Development.

    In line with the above mandates, it is important for all concerned government
    employees and teachers of public schools to be knowledgeable of the basic GAD
    concepts and mandates in order to implement the GAD Program properly and
    effectively. Thus, this activity design.

    III Objectives:

    The said activities shall have the following objectives:


     Increased knowledge among teachers on GAD concepts and mandates
     Application of GAD knowledge on teaching profession and in the personal lives
    of teachers
     Increased understanding on gender mainstreaming in education sector
