ABSTRACT

2
This study was conducted by Custodio et al. titled Perception on Modular

Learning and its Impact on the Academic Performance of Students under the

advisory of Corazon Uy-Teraza, Ph.D.

This study aimed to investigate and determine the relationship between the

perception of Grade 12 students on modular learning to their academic performance

during School Year 2021-2022. Descriptive-correlational research design was

applied and survey questionnaires were utilized to gather and collect data that are

needed, which were personally given to the respondents.

Through the use of software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences

(SPSS), it was determined that the correlation coefficient was calculated as 0.253,

indicating that there is a low correlation between the perception on modular learning

and academic performance of the Grade 12 senior high school students.

Furthermore, it was calculated that the p-value was .003, being lower than the level

of significance, which indicates that there is a significant relationship between the

variables, it was reasonable to conclude that the null hypothesis of this study was

rejected. Based on the findings, the researchers recommend providing more support

— including emotional, mental, and spiritual support — and guidance for the students

to help them stay motivated and achieve greater on academics during the pandemic

in the new way of learning.
