1.0 Executive Summary

Leaf n’ Tea business will provide customer with a unique and innovative
environment for enjoying different kinds of beverages and snacks. It offers quality
products with very affordable prices. Additionally, customers will be provided with
modern study spaces and quiet rooms to maximize customer satisfaction. Additives, such
as tapioca or protein powder, will be available to every customer to maximize customer
satisfaction and make Leaf n’ Tea unique. The business is focused on creating superior
beverages that will satisfy customers and maximize profits. According to Food Business
News, soda consumption has decreased while organic options have soared in demand in
the past five years. To achieve our plan, we must build brand awareness around our
products by promoting itself through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
and many more. From the ingredients for our products to the customer service at our
stores, we keep a strict and high standard, setting the bar for our competitors.
Leaf n’ Tea intends to meet the high demand by offering a unique type of
beverage like milk tea and fruit tea. This Taiwanese beverage, also known as boba tea, is
a unique type of tea that contains a tea base mixed with fruit or milk; it is typically
accompanied with tapioca balls or fruit jellies. The store will have a layout that will be
student-friendly (high-speed Wi-Fi, outlets at each table, and private rooms) so students
and business professionals will feel comfortable in the store, and other customers will
also enjoy the humble environment. Sales are projected from nearby competitor’s
financials and extensive research. Additionally, sales estimates were created honestly and
conservatively to give Leaf n’ Tea realistic projections. Through partnering with local
businesses, and utilizing social media.

Leaf n’ Tea is a tea establishment that deals with different flavors and different
snacks. We will sell our bubble tea as a ready-to-drink bottled beverage. The goal of Leaf
n’ Tea is not only to generate income, but always to generate healthy profits. In addition,
we are not going to sell bubble tea alone as we intend to deal with various products
related to bubble teas, and we also provide snacks.

The business aims in giving its customers the ultimate revitalizing stay by offering milk
tea or fruit tea and different snacks, and by providing efficient and friendly service, a
clean and cozy environment. The company aims to be recognized as the best tasting milk
tea shop in the country that can give a unique creamy taste with a great drinking
experience and satisfaction. Leaf n’ Tea soon to be located in Calaca national highway
that will offer affordable prices but quality product. The business is structured as a
partnership operating under Rose Anne Aristo, Kimverly Bobadilla and Jamewell
Cataquiz. The business hopes to increase its profit margin and provide customers a best
tasting milk tea. In promoting our business we will use social media advertising, personal
selling, poster, flyers. Our target markets are young adults and office workers. We have
carefully considered our competition here and are confident that we will set ourselves
apart with our quality products at affordable prices and because we have developed
advertising strategies that will help us stand out after implementation.

The bubble tea market was valued at $2.4 billion in 2019 and is estimated to reach
$4.3 billion by 2027, registering a CAGR of 7.80% from 2020 to 2027. In 2019, the black
tea segment accounted for more than half of the share in the total bubble tea market and
is expected to grow at a CAGR of 7.50% throughout the forecast period.
Bubble tea (also known as pearl milk tea, bubble milk tea, boba juice, boba tea, or
simply boba) is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Tainan and Taichung in the
1980s. Most bubble tea recipes contain a tea base mixed with fruit or milk, to which
chewy tapioca balls (known as bubbles, pearls, or boba) and fruit jelly are often added.
Ice-blended versions are usually mixed with fruit or syrup, resulting in a slushy
consistency. There are many varieties of the drink with a wide range of ingredients. The
two most popular varieties are bubble milk tea with tapioca and bubble milk green tea
with tapioca. The adoption of bubble tea has been quite high in mature regions such as

the U.S., Canada, and Germany while emerging countries such as China, Brazil, and
India are catching up quickly.

Technology will be a crucial part of the business. The company relies on the cash
register to accurately document each transaction for future analysis. Technology seals the
cups for beverages. Technology will also bring more customers to Leaf n’ Tea as we can
reach those who does not want to go out of their house, they can place their order through
our page get it delivered. We promote and market our business through the technology of
internet. Through technology we can code our stock for easy inventory.

4.0 MARKETING PLAN

4.1 Marketing strategy

Our plan is to create and sell a product that will satisfy the customers. A satisfied
customer will be an integral in spreading the word about our company and products, this
positive word of mouth network will push sales and drive business. Leaf n Tea is located
in the Calaca national highway which is near with a lot of establishment and is a little
busy. It has an impact to the customers when it comes to products offered and it has offer
different variety of beverages and snacks. The current market consists of multiple
economic backgrounds, and multiple age groups, most notably the teen and young adult
age group. Customers are likely to be a office workers and adults looking for snacks and
drink or a relaxing meeting place. Leaf n Tea will be implementing a low cost
advertising/promotion.
Leaf n Tea is already had a strong presence on the internet but could stand from
more exposure by both staff and customers. Positioning themselves in the media more
aggressively will help with exposure and will act as advertising as well. The Instagram
page is a huge tool for the target consumer group. The company is positioned as
moderately priced and with great and high quality products.

4.3 Competitive Advantage

Our goal of launching Leaf n’ Tea ensures that we are the preferred bubble tea
company in Calaca, Batangas. We have specific strategies in place to ensure that we can
not only achieve the intended profit, but also that we can profitably compete with our
competitors.
It is for these reasons that we have developed several competitive advantages that
will allow us to remain unique and also to differentiate ourselves from other Bubble Tea
competitors.

We have another competitive advantage – we are constantly releasing new recipes


that create different flavors and types of bubble tea. We want our customers to be
intrigued by the different flavors we can offer. In addition to the different flavors we
intend to offer, we also strive to ensure that the ingredients used in our bubble tea are of
the highest quality.
Another competitive advantage we have is the excellent customer service we
provide to all of our customers. We know how important it is for companies to have
repeat customers and, therefore, with our strategy, we expect to retain over 80% of our
customers and also strive to attract new ones through our strategies.
Finally, we have the best employees who are not only experienced but also
knowledgeable. We strive to ensure that our employees not only receive adequate
compensation, but also continuous training, which will ensure their professional

4.4 Marketing mix

The marketing mix is a crucial tool to help understand what the product or service
can offer and how to plan for a successful product offering. The marketing mix is most
commonly executed through the 4 P's of marketing which are known as Product, Price,
Place, and Promotion.

4.4.1 Product

Leaf n Tea provides high quality and best tasting beverages products. Our milk
tea and fruit tea product is refreshing and innovative drink with a base of tea with juice or
milk and tapioca. Leaf n tea also includes different varieties of teas and flavors. This
allows the company to encourage customer to search for their favorite flavor and also
satisfies each consumer needs. There are many variations of milk tea. Our recipes contain
a base of tea which is mixed or shaken with fruit or milk. Ice blended versions of the tea
are usually mixed with fruit or syrup, resulting in a slushy consistency. Chewy tapioca
balls are often added, while there are many other toppings, like Nata jelly. We have

classic series of milk tea and cream cheese series and different flavors of fruit tea and
snacks.

4.4.2 Price

The price of every products offered by Leaf n Tea was around the range of 65-85.
The price of classic series of milk tea will range to P 65-95, Cream Cheese series will
range to P 85- 95 and fruit tea will range to P65-75. Different snacks will range up to 30-
95. The price shows that even with high quality milk tea and snacks we still sell it at an
affordable price.

We use our personal employees’ interaction to sample the products and to educate
its costumers about the teas that we sell. Employees make recommendations to
consumers who are looking for to try new flavors. This experience will give us a

The main means of promotion of the Leaf n Tea is through our online social
networks such us Facebook and Instagram, where we will show our costumers our
products.
Advertising Leaf n Tea uses both print/media advertising and word of mouth to
promote our products. This helps us to bring new costumers into our store and have better
recognition among consumers.

4.4.4.3 Poster
Posters will be placed in our store. The design of the poster capable to catch the
attention of the customers because of the information provided as well as its aesthetic.
Chosen colors are pleasing to the eye and will surely boost the interest of the customers
to come to our store.

4.4.4.4 Website
We are now living in the modern world and surfing to the internet is one of the
easiest ways to have quick access. Thee proponents will be using free website in order to
reach wider range of possible customers. This will be great help for them to know the

concept behind "Leaf n’ Tea". We will also provide good communication relationship in
ways that, we will be giving information and they will be giving comments and
suggestions for product improvements and other concerns.

Flyers can convey wide range of possible buyers for it can be brought to other
places. The store will be produce 200 flyers per day. These will be distributed twice a
week or eight times in a month. Flyers will be given in the first three months of the
business until it will get its loyal customers.

Our store will be giving gift certificates worth P 100 on the first day of operation
of our business. The recipients of these certificates will be the first 100 customers of our
store.

6.0 PRODUCTION (OUTSOURCING) PLAN

Leaf n’ Tea will have employees assigned to designated position so they won’t
have overlapping duties as we have assigned them personally their positions as well as
their duties. The store manager have our trust on running our store everyday guiding our
cashier to do her job correctly on selling our product as every penny is important, the
barista is tasked to make our drinks, the milk tea and should always serve the correct
order placed to the counter. The marketing manager, human resource manager, financial
manager and operation manager will solely focused on their particular jobs, to make sure
of the correct outcome so our business won’t go bankrupt.
Regarding to outsourcing we plan to have one supplier for our milk tea supplies
and another one for our snacks, but to make sure we won’t be out of our supplies we plan
to stock up and have back up suppliers.

8.0 OPERATIONAL PLAN

This day to day operation of our milk tea business includes a focus on providing
the best customer service as well as a fun family atmosphere. We plan to attract to a lot of
customers by the use of social media, we will design our shop simple but aesthetically
pleasing. We plan to allow having small events in our shop. Leaf n’ Tea will be open
every Monday through Friday starting 10:00am to 6:00pm. The staffs will start the day at
9:30 to prepare for the day, readying the equipment they need, checking the stocks or
ingredients they might use for the day and checking the cleanliness of their workplace
which should always look presentable for their customers. At 10:00am they will open the
store and start getting orders from customers then serve it. As we will also have a online
accounts for orders they will also check it every time. Around 6:00pm the staffs will
close the store, clean and finish everything that should be done.

SUMMARY

According to the FNB report Philippines is the 2nd highest milk tea drinkers in
Southeast Asia, due to wide acceptance of milk tea in the Philippines. We are establishing
our Leaf n Tea business to provide our various customers with quality teas as well as a
selection of different flavors. Our Leaf n Tea business is strategically located in an
unsaturated location, which allows us to attract more customers. In addition, we are
located in National Highway where customers and employees can easily access. We have
carefully considered our competition here and are confident that we will set ourselves
apart with our quality products at affordable prices and because we have developed
advertising strategies that will help us stand out after implementation. Because we intend
to serve our product in Leaf n Tea in different varieties and also believe in professional
packaging, we are investing in specialized milk tea equipment such as shakers, sealers
and electric induction heaters. . We have also invested in small quality equipment such as
stirrers, sugar dispensers, tea cups and a point of sale vending machine.
Our customers always have the choice between different flavors; That is why we
have developed a menu which will feature different flavors of tea to satisfy all the wishes
of our customers. Our employees are the face of the business, and therefore, we will not
only select competent employees who will help organize the business, but also be able to
effectively inform our customers about the brand. In addition, our staff will be trained in
the preparation of delicious teas.
As we continue to produce quality bubble tea for our customers, we know that our
operating costs will be reduced slightly over time, which will allow us to minimize costs
and maximize our profits, which we have the ‘intention to reinvest in the business to
increase our results, ensuring that we will stay in business for a long time.
Finally, our customers are very important to us because we would not exist
without them and therefore we are ready to listen to our customers’ comments and
complaints and provide them with prompt service. We also intend to ensure that our loyal
