JUNIOR GSP INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Introduction:

Investiture ceremony is one of the most important ceremonies in scouting. It marks the formal
acceptance of the girls in the movement after they have completed the requirements of
membership and fully understand the essence. It gives them the thrill of belonging to a group
and makes them feel ready to face new responsibilities. Hence, Boalan Elementary School
Junior Girl Scouts have completed all the requirements and so we are now to witness another
memorable event in a girl scout movement.
To our dynamic and motherly principal ma’am Ma. Lucia D. Rebollos at the same time
the OIC PSDS of Boalan District, adult leaders, GSP candidates for investiture, parents, guests,
friends a wonderful afternoon to all.
I. ENTRANCE OF COLORS

 Let us now welcome the entrance of the GSP candidates for investiture, our
institutional Committee, adult leaders, institutional commissioner and guests. A warm
of applause everyone.
 Ladies and gentlemen, the entrance of the colors.

Please remain standing as we invoke the presence of our Almighty Father to be led by TITA
KATHY FALCASANTOS and the singing of National Anthem with TITA EVELYN MACSOG
conducting. This will be followed immediately by the pledge of allegiance by PRINCESS FAYE
R. NAVARRO and rededication of scout promise and laws to be led by ZYENN VINE S.
QUENIANO and WENDIE JANE I. ROBANTE and the singing of the Zamboanga Hermosa
hymn with tita JENNYVIE LEGARTE conducting.

II. OPENING REMARKS

 At this point tita Gloria Miguel will give us the opening remarks. A hand please.

III. CEREMONY PROPER

 We shall now witness the lighting of the big candle that represents the spirit of
scouting. This will be done by our institutional head ma’am Ma. Lucia D. Rebollos.

(The lighted candle symbolizes the spirit of scouting as it embodies the fine
principles of the scout promise and law a shining beacon of inspiration.
MA’AM MALOU
(This candle which I light represent the spirit of scouting (face the audience
GS sign) May the spirit of scouting shine all over the world.)

 The three candles will now be lighted by select Girl Scout leaders that represents
the three scout duties.

 DUTY TO GOD……………………Ma. Lyiah Dessyl G. Guevarra


 (Tita ________________) Duty to God is defined as adherence to spiritual principles,
loyalty to the religions that expresses them and acceptance of the duties resulting
therefrom.

 DUTY TO COUNTRY ………………………… Hannah Faith R. Caspe


 (Tita _____________________) Duty to country is to help every girls and young women
realize the ideals of womanhood and prepare themselves for their responsibilities in the
home, the nation and the world community.

 DUTY TO MANKIND ……………………………………………Averil Chloe J. Tercio

 ( Tita _______________________) Moral conduct, the noblest flowering of culture inasmuch


as spiritual development is the supreme end of human existence and the highest expression
thereof, it is the duty of man to serve that end with all his strength and resources. Self-
training through enriching experiences in Girl Scouting influences girls and young women
into becoming responsible, decisive, useful , respected and acknowledged citizens in a
changing world.

B. LIGHTING OF THE 10 CANDLES


* Lighting of the 10 candles will now be done by select Girl Scout leaders that
represents the 10 Girl Scout laws.
1. A girl scout honor is to be trusted.
* ( Tita_________________) A Girl Scout is being a person who lives up to their
word and acts with integrity in everything they do.
2. A Girl Scout is loyal.
* (Tita ________________) A scout is true to her family, friends, scout leaders,
school and nation. She remains steadfast in her adherence to what is right that
show firm and constant support or allegiance to the institution.
3. A girl scout is helpful.
*( Tita ________________) Being a girl scout means stepping out of your
comfort zone and helping others. It means doing things to people other than
yourself and feeling good about it.
4. A girl scout is a friend to all and a sister to every other girl scout.
*( Tita ________________) Making friends and trying to make new things with
others gives the confidence to every girl scout to build a better world.
5. A girl scout is courteous.
*( Tita ________________) A scout is polite to everyone regardless of age or
position. She knows that using good manners makes it easier to people to get
along. It means treating others with respect.
6. A girl scout respects living things.
*( Tita ________________) Every scout should respect living things because
living things have variety of characteristics that are displayed to different
degrees; they inspire, move, respond to stimuli, reproduce and grow and are
dependent to their environment.
7. A girl scout is disciplined.
* (Tita ______________) Being able to carefully control the way ones work, live
or behave especially to achieve a goal according to the standard that is expected
of her to do.
8. A girl scout is self-reliant.
*( Tita _______________) A girl scout does not rely herself to others instead
one’s own powers, resources and abilities.
9. A girl scout is thrifty.
*( Tita ________________) A scout is thrifty. A scout works to pay her way and
help others. She saves for the future , protects and conserves natural resources.

10. A girl scout is clean thought, word and deed.


*( Tita _________________) As a scout and a true Filipino she is clean in
thought, word and deed; compassionate, discipline and law-abiding to
every action undertaken.
C. ROUND SONG

 At this juncture GSP Candidates for investiture will lead the round song entitled
Whenever we Make a Promise.
D. PRESENTATION OF GSP CANDIDATES FOR INVESTITURE

 May I now call in our School GSP Coordinator tita Ma. Angely C. Infante for the
presentation of candidates for investiture.

(As the school GSP Coordinator, Ma’am I have the honor to present to you
___________ GSP candidates for investiture who have successfully completed the
requirements to be a full pledge Junior Girl Scouts.

E. MAKING THE PROMISE

 The GSP Junior Scouts are now then ready to recite the GSP Promise. To be led by
our School GSP Coordinator.

F. PINNING OF GSP INVESTITURE PIN

 Having made the promise and subscribed to the law, you are now ready to receive
your investiture pins. Our adult leaders will do the pinning of investiture pins to our
new members of the girl scout/girl guide movement.

G. DISTRIBUTION OF CERTIFICATE OF MEMBERSHIP

 We shall then proceed to the distribution of certificate of membership, may I request


tita Alelie P. Loo Council Executive to do the honor in distributing it to our girls.
H. DISTRIBUTION OF CERTIFICATE OF MEMBERSHIP TO ALL ADULT LEADERS AND
INSTITUTIONAL COMMITTEE

 May we call in our adult leaders and institutional committee members to receive the
membership card as TITA ALELIE P. LOO will hand it over to our titas.
I. INDUCTION OF THE INSTITUTIONAL COMMITTEE

 At this point TITA ELSA OPINION Vice-Chair Personnel Committee will do the honor in
inducting our institutional committee members as they will take oath on their duties.

J. CONFIRMATION OF MEMBERSHIP

 To officially welcome our girls to the girl scout movement here is SIXTA AMSID Vice Chair
on Personnel Committee for the confirmation. A sound clap please.

K. DEDICATION SONG

 Congratulation’s girls! And welcome to girl scout movement. May we here now our girls
singing the song “We are the Girl Scout” as a response to the confirmation or membership.
IV. MESSAGE
 And now let us give our un divided attention to tita FELY S. ASCABANO she will
deliver a message to our newly invested girl scouts. A hand please.

V. CHALLENGE
 Thank you tita Sixta for that inspiring message and I hope that our girls have been inspired
and will apply it as they will start their journey in scouting.
 Another equally competent and inspiring person here, is ma’am Ma. Lucia D. Rebollos to
give the challenge. A hand please.

VI. CLOSING
 Such a great challenge awaits to our girls.
 Let me now hand this microphone to tita Agnes B. Calasang for the closing remarks.
VII. EXIT OF COLORS
 Congratulations girls!Hep-hep! Hooray! You are now officially Junior Girl Scouts. Mabuhay!
 This is is your master of ceremony tita Richelle P. Gaspar saying “A girl scout do a good turn
daily makes a difference in big and small ways.” Muchisimas gracias and have a safe
afternoon to all.
