    Michael J. Rourke, District Attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial District, of the State of
    Colorado, in the name and by the authority of the People of the State of Colorado, informs the
    court of the following offenses committed, or triable, in the County of Weld:

    COUNT 1-ASSAULT IN THE SECOND DEGREE (F4)

    On or about September 16, 2022, Jordan Steinke unlawfully, feloniously, and recklessly
    caused serious bodily injury to Yareni Rios-Gonzalez, by means of a deadly weapon,
    namely: locomotive; in violation of section 18-3-203(1)(d), C.R.S.

    COUNT 2-CRIMINAL ATTEMPT TO COMMIT MANSLAUGHTER (F5)

    On or about September 16, 2022, by engaging in conduct constituting a substantial step


    toward the commission of manslaughter, Jordan Steinke unlawfully, feloniously, and
    recklessly attempted to cause the death of Yareni Rios-Gonzalez; in violation of sections
    18-3-104(1)(a) and 18-2-101, C.R.S.

    COUNT 3-RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT (M2)

    On or about September 16, 2022, Jordan Steinke unlawfully and recklessly engaged in
    conduct which created a substantial risk of serious bodily injury to Yareni Rios-
    Gonzalez; in violation of section 18-3-208, C.R.S.

    All offenses against the peace and dignity of the people of the State of Colorado.
