Introduction
1 Scope of application
This Standard establishes a Classing system for frying-up protrusions in real points of fasteners after an agreed
corrosion test.

2 Initial states
Typical starting conditions are illustrated in Images 1 to 4.
Images 1 to 4 take into account the fact that fasteners in general already undergo a mechanical pre-loading before
assembly by shifting or when passing through oscillating thrusters, which can lead to excess abrasion, in
particular to the edges, or to seditions that lead to dorsal impact points.

3 Degree of change
The starting point for the evaluation of changes is the typical color tone of the coating system.
Prolongation is essentially due to white corrosion products due to corrosion of the top. This may be systemic or
may be caused by damage to the coating after application.
The assessment of base metal corrosion is not the subject of this standard.

The alterations of warty surfaces as a result of a corrosive bearish condition is emulated by comparative examples,
which are assigned to degrees of change, and assigned according to Table 1.

Abbreviations
(See Annex A)
As the degree of diffusion of the surface, the comparative image lends itself most closely to the appearance of the
surface.
Assessment areas for the change is in the case of the head surface screws, in the case of rivets the key flat, in slices of
the disc top disc surfaces.
4 Evaluation of the change of black surfaces
The alteration of a black top sheet will, according to the agreement of corrosion of the parts to be agreed otherwise,
be poor in comparison with images A.1 to A_10, see Annex A. Practical preloads (mechanical, thermal, chemical)
before the corrosion test can also be combined. The assessment of the change takes place with unarmed eyes in the
reading distance.
