What to expect
SEP Engineers at JPMorgan Chase work in an open, collaborative and supportive culture, where
agile teams are constantly innovating, learning new skills, and at the forefront of developing new
technologies and solutions.
You’ll start your two-year program with an in-depth orientation covering our strategies, products and
systems, as well as an overview of our technology community. You’ll learn how technology drives the
firm’s overall efficiency, improves our risk management and enhances our clients’ experiences.
You’ll then join a Software Engineer role within our consumer, wholesale or corporate businesses. As
part of our team, you’ll gain hands-on experience, receive one-on-one mentoring, meet with senior
business leaders and build your professional network while making a difference for our customers.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll make an impact by:
Engaging in the planning, architecture, development, and implementation of applications
Writing, modifying, and testing software
Participating in next generation technologies focused on big data, cybersecurity, DevOps and cloud,
and continuous integration and deployment
Helping to grow and build technology platforms that will be used by almost half of all US households
and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
• Design & development knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Participate in the planning, design, development, and maintenance of software code for business
applications
• Possessing sound knowledge of software architectural patterns and development processes
• Conceptualize, design and build enterprise grade technology solutions leveraging emerging
technologies around
o Predictive and Preemptive Data Analytics
o Elastic Cloud for distributed deployment & Horizontal scaling
o Machine Learning and AI tools
o Real Time Data streaming
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages and technology capability:
Java, Python, HADOOP, Robotics, Web Apps, Mobile Apps
• Participate in at least one Global Technology Vision aligned initiative
• Work on diverse Technology stacks with an ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
• Learn and implement technologies and processes that contribute to robust, scalable and resilient
and secure applications
• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish
common goals
• Champion innovation through creative problem solving
• Working proficiency in development toolsets
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Understanding of Agile Development Methodology

About you
We're looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for developing technologies with global
impact.
Key skills include:
• Degree – B.Tech / BE / MCA
• Streams / Specialization – Computer Science, Information Science/ Information Technology,
Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunications
• Backlogs – No current backlogs, Graduation in first attempt
• Education Gap – Not more than 1 year
• A well-rounded academic background with minimum aggregate 7 CGPA until date
• Knowledge of IT programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, Go and other programming
languages, networks and databases)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Relevant internship experience and leadership in school or community organization
• Fluency in English is essential
