Fake News Vs Real News.

Describe the present state of Indian Media

Industry.

The term "fake news" was originally used by politicians and media during the
2016 US elections. It is used to describe the type of untrue, unreal information that was
spreading through channels like social media. A different meaning for the term arose when
Mr. Trump and other politicians called out this term to figure out and attack reporting from
media conglomerates, which run news stories the politicians hate to expose.

It is usually used to discredit a political candidate or to weaken support for

one side of a serious issue. It is hard to identify it and prevent it from spreading. It can be
described as the spreading of false information or misinformation.
Real news is written by real journalists who maintain a code of ethics for
reporting. You should ensure that you get accurate news by making sure it is written by
professional journalists rather than someone from the public. "Real news" is an account of
truth happening or having happened around us. It is unbiased and does not look at only one
perspective.
Even the most intelligent people can be mistaken occasionally, but maintaining a healthy
degree of scepticism and evaluating the source of information can combat your vulnerability
to misinformation.
Let us now try to analyse the present state of the Indian media industry, which is described
below in detail. First, India is facing tremendous growth in both English and other language
newspapers. While this growth is resulting in more news and information, it also elucidates
commercial interests to a large extent. Second, this growth is taking place at a time when our
governance and public sphere are facing many challenges. Journalism must report regularly
on economic opportunity, public education, health, and so forth. The achievements sought by
journalists will depend on the values they bring to their profession. Third, the public decision-
making processes continue to be non-participatory because of the undemocratic power
divisions between multiple levels of government. Whether it be water-sharing conflicts or
labour issues, often the doors are closed for consensus to evolve.
Journalists should report in interesting and relevant ways for the media. Their news
must reach the society that readers live in. They are independent witnesses of power, be it
governmental, business, or special interest groups in our society. Finding these ideals today in
the media industry is in vain, and it is hopeless to encourage them. Free press is an important
concept in the media world.
In principle, the Indian media is permitted to exercise the same degree of freedom as is
accorded to each individual citizen. It is not accorded any constitutional or legal privileges
due to its status as an institution. Regardless of the topic being discussed, the right to privacy
will inevitably be infringed upon during that discussion. The Indian media frequently violates
the rights of individuals, particularly the rights of those who are unable to defend themselves
or their rights. In these kinds of circumstances, "privacy" or "the right to be left alone" is an
absolute necessity in order to shield the affected individuals from the scrutiny of the general
public.
There are a lot of problems that involve the personal lives
of individuals, and those individuals have to be shielded from the prying eyes of the general
public. Because being exposed in public could have negative repercussions for these kinds of
people, maintaining their privacy is of the utmost importance to them. The media has an
important role to play in bringing attention to issues of this nature. However, at the same
time, it has a responsibility to strike a delicate balance by keeping the identities of the people
involved secret.

If the media could develop its very own code of ethics, that would be
the best possible scenario. However, privacy can take many different forms, including special
forms of legislation, and sadly, these forms of privacy are frequently violated. There has been
no movement toward the introduction of legislation in this regard as of yet. As a result, we
ought to place the protection of individual rights at the very top of our priority list.

This is a nation where the downtrodden, sexual workers and their banned offspring,
etc. are denied opportunity. The media needs to accurately expose this to its citizen
readership. The media should try to report reality as accurately as possible. Journalists today
are more noble than the commercial bottom lines of their employers. Thus, many citizens are
aware that poverty and hunger must be accepted as failures of our democracy.
Employers of these journalists tell them that their readers want "naked," "obscene," and other
celebrity news. News relating to our municipalities or city corporations that report on the
kind of life in our towns and cities is not reported much.
We thereby conclude after making a thorough analysis of the present state of the Indian
media industry.
