ROAD SAFETY POLICY

01. Introduction
This policy sets out the commitment of Zentix to ensure the safety of all staff, customers, visitors, and
any other individuals who use our roads, walkways, and other areas connected to our business.

02. Purpose
This policy outlines the expectations for Zentix in regards to the safety of our road users and
encourages the adoption of best practices for driving, cycling, and walking in order to reduce the risk
of accidents, injuries, and fatalities.

03. Scope
This policy applies to all staff, customers, visitors, and other individuals who use our roads,
walkways, and other areas connected to our business. It applies to the vehicles owned and used by
Zentix, as well as privately owned vehicles.

04.Responsibilities
Zentix is responsible for: -

 Ensuring that all staff are aware of this policy and its requirements
 Ensuring that any vehicles owned or used by Zentix are roadworthy and properly maintained
 Ensuring that all staff and other road users obey the relevant road laws - Ensuring that any
vehicles owned or used by

Road Safety Standards


The following road safety standards are implemented by zentix

Global H&S Standard - Road Safety (LSP) Followed

Drivers Hold a valid license for the country or countries in which they are
required to drive on business.
Make sure that their driver’s license is always available for inspection by
Nokia or its partners.
Be medically fit to drive. As a minimum eyesight must be verified as
suitable for driving and any condition that could significantly impair their
ability to drive is declared*
Must inform their employer at any point where they are no longer
considered fit to drive
Receive additional training where required. This is mandatory for the use
of 4X4 vehicles being used off road or on loose surfaces and towing of
trailers.
PERSONAL Must not exceed the speed limit or drive at a speed that is unsafe for the

Must always wear a seat belt when driving or travelling in a vehicle
When driving, always ensure that all passengers wear seat belts
Must only transport people in seats that are designed for the transport of
people
Must not talk on a handheld mobile phone whilst driving and only take or

receive calls on hands free equipment when it is safe and legal to do so
Must not transport unauthorized persons
Must not operate a vehicle while impaired due to drugs or alcohol
Must ensure that they are in a fit state to operate a vehicle
Ensure that their vehicle safety items are checked prior to use
Driver A basic induction is included that covers the requirements of this standard
Training Highlights the risks associated with driving for business and the Nokia
controls to reduce that risk
The arrangements in the locations that they work for provision of driver
license, medical and endorsement details

Vehicles Be suitable for the intended use. This is determined by the number of
people to be transported, the distances intended to be driven, the tools and
materials that will be transported, the nature of the roads that will be
driven and the vehicles that are readily available in the country, as a
minimum:
All seats that will be used by passengers must have a three point seat belt
fitted
All seats must be fitted by the manufacturer, Have head rests for all seats
Have suitable tyres for the road conditions, including, where required by
law or risk assessment the provision of winter
Have appropriate load carrying capacity for tools and materials Have
fixed segregation between load carrying areas and the passenger
compartments
Be fitted with the required registration plates and identifiers required by
the local state, region
