Rules For Live and Silent Benifit Auction
1. The spirit and purpose of this Auction is to raise money for the (Charity
Name) We hope you will bid high and bid often. We also hope that you will
be considerate of the rules, policies, and procedures as applied to this Auction.
3. Please read descriptions for packages carefully, especially for applicable dates
and descriptions prior to bidding.
4. All items and services must be paid for in full on (the date of the sale) Before
certificates for items can be picked up, please show your paid receipt to the
person at the “pick up” window to verify payment and items to be picked up.
Methods of payment include cash, personal check, MasterCard, Visa and
Discover (No Am-Ex).
5. Successful bidders must sign out all gift certificates and items on the evening
of the Auction (Auction Date). Bidder is responsible to confirm that all
items and/or certificates paid for are in each package picked up. (Charity
Name) is not responsible for items not received.
6. All goods or services must be used within the time limit stated on the
certificate or within one year of the Auction. Use by (Date, One year away.).
8. A 6% Michigan sales tax will be charged against the purchase of each item, as
required by law.
9. Bidder must be 18 years old to bid and 21 years old to bid on alcoholic
packages.
10. Duplicate items may be auctioned separately.
11. No items listed in the Silent or Live Auction have any cash value.
2. When you find an item you wish to bid on, fill out the sheet with your bidder
number, bid amount, and the time of the bid as shown on the master time clock.
MINIMUM BID REQUIREMENTS AND INCREMENTS MUST BE
FOLLOWED.
3. You must bid higher than the previous bidder in at least the increment
specified on the bid sheet or your bid will not be valid.
4. The last bid on the sheet at the time of table closing will be the winning
bidder if all rules have been followed and rule #6 has not been invoked.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
5. All tables will open and close according to the schedule on the first page of the
silent auction.
6. SPECIAL NOTE: To avoid challenges regarding who placed or tried to place the
last bid on an auction item, the table monitor or Auction representative, at his/her
discretion, may inform the active bidders on the item as the closing time of the
bidding nears that a representative of the Epic Auctions & Estate Sales will
conduct a Live Auction of the item immediately following the closing of the
table. The bidding will be limited to those bidders who had previously placed
bids and were active at the closing as identified by the table monitor.
