The Formation of food park is located at Periyanesalur village in Salem South taluk,
Salam District. The area of 56.81 Ac was taken over from the Revenue department on
02.11.2020 for providing basic infrastructure facilities to the proposed new food park estate.
The entire proposed Estate is bifurcated by village road into 2 parts (ie) West side as
Phase I & East side as Phase II. Hence this proposed Industrial estate will be developed in
phased manner. Based on the SIDCO Board sanction, Eastern phase roads, Road culvert
and plot approach culverts, Construction of Manholes and sewer line pipe line work were
completed. Further the water supply arrangements and sewage treatment plant are
necessary for the proposed estate. Construction of Sump is essential to get water from
TWAD.
Based on the scheme sanction the estimate is prepared for “Construction of 1.0 lakhs
capacity OHT, Sump and Design & Construction of 0.50MLD sewage treatment plant at
SIDCO I.E., Periyaseergapadi, Salem District.”
Description of proposal:
It is proposed to construct 1.0L capacity over head tank in Public purpose plot of
12m staging height so as to feed the water to the plots to be developed in the stat.
Pumproom is proposed to construct the under the OHT to house the panel boards
and starter for the pump.
It is construct the RCC Circular sump of capacity of 6.75m dia of internal dimension
for proposed 1.0 lakhs litre sump in Public purpose plot with necessary inlet
arrangements.
3) Design and construction of Sewage Treatment Plant :
Manholes and sewer lines work completed. Most of plots are allotted in East side
area Before that Sewage Treatment Plant is necessary to treat the seweage
water. Based on the requirement, it is proposed 0.50MLD sewage Treatment
Plant at lower point of estate (ie) South East side of the estate.
Lumpsum provisions for the Inlet and outlet arrangements, Staircase, internal
Electrification, Alu.Ladder, aviation lighter, lightening arrester, Goods & Service Tax @ 18%,
Labour welfare fund @1% and Petty supervisions & contingencies of work.
The estimate is prepared based on current PWD & TWAD schedule of rates for the
year 2022-23. The cost of estimate is work out to Rs.194.50 lakhs. The above expenditure
can be met out from the scheme sanction provisions of Rs.183.00 lakhs and Rs.360 lakhs,
Rs.268.0 lakhs are available in the head of “Water supply arrangements, External Sanitary
arrangements and Contingencies & Pre-operative Expenses” respectively. Out of External
sanitary Arrangements head Rs.52.00 lakhs of work expenditure made for East side sanitary
arrangements.

I herewith submit the Detailed Estimate for the work of ‘Formation of Roads,
Construction of Road Culverts & Plot Approach Culverts under Phase-I area and
Providing Sanitary Arrangements at SIDCO IE Periyaseeragapadi in Salem District for
the year 2020-21 for a estimated value of Rs. 323.00 Lakhs(Phase-I area) and
Rs.108.70 Lakhs (Sanitary arrangements).

SIDCO has sent the LPS to the District Collector Salem for Establishment of new
Industrial Estate at Periyaseerakabadi Village , Salem South Taluk in Salem District.
In continuation that TANSIDCO has identified land for an extent of 56.81 Acres at
Periyaseerakapadi village, Salem south aluk in Salem Dt., and alienation order is awaiting.
The Industrial layout has been prepared and submitted to DTCP for approval. An
amount of Rs.2080.00 lakhs. was snctioned vide resolution No.71 in 295 th meeting of the
SIDCO board held on 16.10.2020 for infrastructure development works at
Periyaseerakapadi Village, Salem District.The SIDCO Board took note that it is proposed to
take development works at an area of 56.81 Acres and the net saleable area worked out to
37.216 Acres comprising 79 saleable plot and estimate cost of Rs.2080.00 lakhs.
The SIDCO Board has passed Administration d for formation of new Industrial estate
by providing infrastructure facilities at Periyaseerakapadi village.
LOCATION
The new industrial estate is located in Periyaseerakapadi Village, Salem south Taluk
in Salem District and 22km from Salem city.
It is proposed to 6 Nos road crossing culverts length of 7.50m and 10.00m for vent width
of 0.90m proposed in this estimate the following provisions are given below.
Necessary Lumpsum Provisions are also made for Goods and service Tax at the rate
of 18%, Labour Welfare fund at the rate of 1% and Unforeseen items & Contingencies.
Cost:
The Estimate has been prepared based on the current PWD Schedule of rates for the
year 2020 – 21 & Local Rate. The Estimate Cost works out to Rs. 140.00 Lakhs. In the
scheme estimate there is a provisions of Rs. 373.00 Lakhs made in the Item No: II) a),b) &
c) under the head of Cost of Laying Roads & Construction of Culverts provision of
Rs.373.00lakhs and Contingencies & Preoperative expenses Rs. 368.00 Lakhs.. Total
Available Amount in the heads is Rs. 741.00 Lakhs. The Expenditure can be met out from
the above provision.
