How is the Philippines central to the history of economic globalization ?
Over the past years, Philippine had increase its economy alignment to global economy. The
country continue to progress it’s industry and economy that derives productivity in culture,
tradition, livelihood, etc.. The increase of development happened brought the country on its
position right now. The increase in integration of economics around the world by the movement of
goods, services and capital across boarders had changed people, institutions, trading,
technologies and demand of supplies. As the world advances in different fields, the country is at
present to go along with the changes. A lot of studies have shown how Philippines demonstrate
innovation and development which contribute on overall global economy.
According to de Rato (2007), the global economy is in good shape. Governments can keep
the global economy strong by continuing sound policies and by acting to contain key risks in
energy and financial markets. They can also increase support for globalization and help their own
poorest citizens by taking steps to address inequality. In some of these areas the Philippines is
leading the way. The government and central bank are firmly pursuing sound macroeconomic
policies, and Philippine leaders are acting with imagination and innovation to improve the position
of the Philippines’ poorest citizens.
Globalization truly affect the Philippines economic growth. Many aspects such as culture
and livelihood of the country had lead their way to improvements. The state’s inequality in life is
one of the country’s obstacles where they prevent it from continuing and advocates helping people
at the bottom. Unlike other countries, Philippine undergoes process of globalization to gradually
align with the changes. Philippines is now passing and accepting diversity for a better
development of the nation. The country had finally take actions and policies which advocates
equality and promote integration which visualize by every Filipinos. Pursuing equality had brought
the country into a floor for progression and improvements which lead the netizens benefits from it.
In support, Clausen (2010) states the resulting regional growth-inequality relationships and
developmental footprints that accompany the restructuring of the political economy and
livelihoods. The case of the Philippines thus shows how globalization can simultaneously bring
about the selective dismantling of (economic) barriers and the enhancement of mobility and
growth, as well as the worsening of socioeconomic inequalities in space and society. In an
increasingly deregulated and contested environment these developmental divisions not only pose
serious threats to regional balance and national unity but, ultimately, undermine the state’s
capacity to achieve its promised goals of inclusiveness. Growth, stability and equality for citizens.
The state of inequality has now obtained and accustomed by the Philippines. The
expansion for essential adaptation of innovations and advancement in different sectors of the
country allows the rising of demand in goods and services. The country is now adaptive to
changes which been affected by the globalization. To make the country innovative and resourceful
the improvement for the culture, livelihood and citizens have come along its way. The exports and
imports of goods and services had produce quality workmanship. The trade for this had been more
conservative and sensible to address the stability of the country. With the adaption to changes and
improvements a lot of opportunities upholding fair and equal treatment for citizens.
Making meaningful policies and laws of the country that are adopted by the legislators is a
great guide towards good trade relations and quality work. This is a fertile step that will serve as
our perspective that will provide conformity not only to the country’s economy but also to the lives
of people and workers. With that, Philippine will continue to foster and create changes that will
probably be a great contribution to global economy. Globalization makes way to affect Philippines’
economic sector. The advances of technology which is widely spreading globally had attributes
advantages and disadvantages. Philippines has its own plan to adapt the changes and
comprehend to improvements. Paying attention for inequality and diversity brought a good
perspective to country’s economy. Citizens has a chance to a democratic country that specialize
progressive tomorrow.
Therefore, Philippine economy today had really improve not just in cultural and
technological fields but also in livelihood of its people. Inequality is the boarder for Filipinos to
attributes their knowledge and skills. The transition of innovation to Philippines wouldn’t be
possible without their reliability of policies and laws. A great foundation in trade and industry
brought a lot of opportunities awaits for its nation. Globalization is under control and unpredictable.
It just goes in his way to affect every country and to accommodate changes. The country that has
a good social and economic outlook will rise and go along with the movement of globalization.
This is an aspect that the Philippines must implement to easily keep up with the changes and
advancements of the world.
