Plans were made for the upcoming Regional CTEC Congress in December, where the CTECs will participate in a chorale contest. The meeting strengthened the relationship between TESDA and CTECs to better deliver training programs and services.

    Background

    TESDA Davao Oriental Provincial Office through the leadership of Acting Regional
    Director Remegias G. Timonio in coordination with LGU stakeholders through Community
    Training and Employment Coordinators (CTECs) render its report on the current status of
    TESDA’s Major Programs last December 6, 2022, at TESDA Provincial Office Conference
    Room. The office used the opportunity to lay out various agenda items discussed, including
    updates on the accomplishment report 2022, validation of amended provincial skill priorities,
    CTEC reports, officer elections, preparation for the forthcoming CTEC congress, and other
    matters.

    Significant Outcome/Results of the Event

    The workshop was strongly supported by TESDA Davao Oriental Provincial Office
    Acting Regional Director Remegias G. Timonio, who was supervised by Ms. Wena C. Tinio,
    Supervising TESD Specialist. The CTECs from the several Municipalities of Davao Oriental
    is gracing the abovementioned activity. The meeting aims to discuss relevant issues and
    concerns on the implementation of programs and services for the constituents of Davao
    Oriental. During her acknowledgment and welcoming remarks, Ms. Wena C. Tinio

    expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the CTEC for taking time out of their busy schedules to
    attend the conference.

    Ms. Tinio highlighted that this year is equivalent to good planning and an organized
    TVET training program offered at the local level to enable future endeavors of the province.
    She emphasized the value of holding regular meetings since they provide a forum for
    gathering suggestions and grievances that would help the delivery of services go more
    smoothly. During the meeting, new officers were elected: Restie N. Aguilon as president,
    Reynaldo Gesta as vice president, Anna Mariz Feleciados as secretary, Ian Dilag as
    treasurer, Anthony Fernandez as auditor, Jay O. Dayanghirang as PRO district 1 and
    Sheila Edullantes as PRO district 2, and Jan Michael Belena as business manager.

    Additionally, they talked about planning for the forthcoming Regional CTEC
    Congress, which will take place at the Acacia Hotel on December 13 and 14, 2022. They
    are all thrilled and putting in their best performance for the activity's highlight, the chorale
    contest. The meeting paved the foundation for the relationship between TESDA and CTEC
    to strengthen and would build a more comprehensive approach to the delivery of programs
    and services.
