E-Signature: An Instantaneous, Practical, And Green Way To Sign

Documents

A person's electronic declaration of their desire to concur with the contents of a document or collection of data to which the signature
refers is known as an electronic signature. An electronic signature, like its analogous handwritten counterpart in the physical world,
is a legal idea that expresses the signatory's desire to be bound by the provisions of the signed document.

Three types of electronic signature


The "simple" electronic signature, the "advanced" electronic signature, and the "qualified" electronic signature are the three degrees
of electronic signature as defined by the eIDAS Regulation.

1. Simple Electronic Signatures

2. Advanced Electronic Signatures


An advanced electronic signature is an electronic signature that is additionally:

i) Distinctly connected to and able to identify the signing;


ii) Made in a manner that gives the signatory control;
iii) Linked to the document so that future data changes can be seen.

3. Qualified Electronic Signatures


A qualified electronic signature is an advanced electronic signature that is additionally:

i) Produced by a certified signature generator;


ii) And is founded on an electronic signature certified certificate.
