Taught advanced math with the 6th grade Illustrative Math curriculum, and fifth grade math with the Bridges Curriculum to two
classes in a departmentalized model. Provided content instruction in science, social studies, and health. Collaborated with the
fifth grade team to create consistently high expectations for fifth grade students during in person instruction, and throughout the
virtual/hybrid year of 2021.

Live and model core values set forth by school tradition. Planned and implemented daily science lessons for grades1-4. Created
curriculum which complied with NGSS Standards and school requirements. Collaborated with upper school colleagues to create

learning module for at home schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Oversaw daily operation of the after-school program, which served children ages 3-12. Administered a staff of 10 college

Collaborated with a team of four to write a second grade and a fifth-grade science unit aligned with the NGSS. Worked closely
with the director of the Office of Science PreK-12 to align curriculum with P21 standards, the digital conversion, and the
Baltimore County Public School’s Blueprint 2.0. Reviewed units prior to the launch of the pilot.

Collaborated with a team of teachers and administrators to design experiential, community-based learning experiences for each
grade level (pre-K-8) which aligns with the UN Goals for Sustainable Development.
Mentor Teacher, Student Teaching Program, Towson University 2014 – 2016
Advised two Towson University student teachers by modeling rigorous and engaging lessons, co-teaching, assisting in
planning, and providing meaningful and constructive feedback. Met with supervisors to inform assessments.

Chair, STEM Committee, Carney Elementary School 2013 – 2016


Led and supported 10 co-workers in the planning and implementation of STEM-related events, fair, and projects within the
school community. Planned an interactive STEAM night showcase for the Carney School community.
Member: NGSS Transition Team, Baltimore County Public Schools 2013-2014
Selected as one of five Baltimore County third grade teachers to attend monthly workshops to gain a deeper understanding of
the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), digital conversion, and spatial thinking. Each grade level team created
frameworks for the curriculum transition that was implemented in 2017.
