Topic: Give the model of the universe according to Eudoxus, Aristotle, and
Aristachus, Plotemy, and Copernicus
Reference: K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Guide for Senior High School/
Curriculum (page 124-125) and Earth and Life Science 11 by Anna

Materials: DLP, power point presentation, Laptop, projector, manila paper, scissor
Value Focus: Understanding the model of universe
III. Procedure:

Teachers Activity Pupils Activity

A. Preparatory Activity
1. Prayer
2. Warm-up Activity
- Good morning class - Good morning teacher
- How are you today? - We’re fine.

- Are you ready?
- Yes, we are ready.
B. Motivation
- Let’s play word scramble
- I want you to group yourself into 5.
Each group will have 1 scrambled
word and clues with the
corresponding materials such as
scotch tape and scissor. I’ll give you
15 minutes to complete the word
and paste the correct answer in the
board.
- Are you ready? - Yes, we are ready.

C. Presentation
- Alright, you already paste it
scrambled word correctly so now
let’s call one member of each group
and read the word you have pasted
on it and give us meaning and
example on your own.
- Let’s start with group 1. - (Group 1)Universe,(Latin:
universus) is all of space and time
and their contents, including
planets, stars, galaxies, and all
- Very good! Next group 2 other forms of matter and energy
- (Group 2) Matter, is everything
around you. Matter is defined as
anything that has mass and takes
- Very good! Next group 3 up space (it has volume).
- (Group 3) Motion, in physics,
change with time of the position or
orientation of a body. ... Motion
along a line or a curve is called
translation. Motion that changes
the orientation of a body is called
rotation.
- Very good! Nesxt group 4 - (Group 4) Earth, consists of land,
