Directions: In no more than five (5) sentences, answer the following questions. (3 items x 10 points)

1. Recall some of your defining moments in the formation of your moral character. Did it change
your personality as well as your outlook in life? How?

If I remember correctly, it was when I lost my uncle and I have to keep my study going, he was a very
important person to me as I grew up with him for as long as I can remember. Losing someone close to us
is very mentally exhausting and make us lose focus on things we have responsibility on like studies. It
changed the way I look at things because I realized that as we grow up, we lose many friends and even
family members, this made me think that not everything stays and we must keep going with our lives.

2. What do you think will happen to our country if our youth will be lacking the necessary moral
ascendancy? Can we still rely on them as the hope of our motherland? Explain your answer.

Our country will face social challenge. Immoral activities and crime rates will increase such as illegal drug
use, smoking, drinking alcohol, stealing, shoplifting, and polluting. Poverty will also increase as they will
be heavily affected by these immoral activities. A generation of youngsters that lacks moral ascendancy
cannot be a hope of our motherland as they will bring no good to our country.

3. Explain the relationship between individual acts and character.

Individual acts reflect one’s character, these acts also form the character of a person. When someone has
good character, their actions, behaviors, and emotional reactions are all coordinated and aimed toward
morality and goodness. Actions not only reveal if a person is good or bad on the inside, but they can also
change a person's character. The more one does or suggests an immoral action for others, the more it
becomes rooted in one's character to be the type of person who tolerates that immoral action.
