School Recruitment and Retention Stipend 2023-2024

D.F. Huddle Recruitment and Retention Stipend (1 year at a time)


A Recruitment and Retention stipend shall be paid to teachers through the availability of
ESSER and Title II funding sources. A $5000.00 sign on/retention stipend shall be paid to
all effective certified teachers and $3000.00 to all non-certified teachers working at D.F.
Huddle Elementary. Current teachers who score 2.5 or higher on their final evaluation for
the 2022-2023 school year will be eligible for the $5000 stipend. Current teachers who
score between 1.5 and 2.4 on their final evaluation for the 2022-2023 school year will be
eligible for the $3000 stipend. Teachers must be hired prior to October 1st and have to
remain working at said schools through the end of the first semester to be awarded the first
half of the stipend ($2500.00/$1500.00). For teachers hired for the second semester, they
must be hired by February 1st and remain working at said schools through the end of the
second semester to be awarded the second half of the stipend ($2500.00/$1500).

In addition to the recruitment and retention stipend the teacher can also earn an attendance
stipend ($1000.00) with guidelines attached, a school performance score index increasing
stipend ($1000.00) with guidelines attached all totaling a maximum amount of $7000.00 for
certified teachers and $5000.00 for non certified teachers.

Extras for Huddle Elementary teachers will include a new school laptop and a Fall and
Spring Semester materials and supplies allocation ($1000 per teacher). The maximum
payout to teachers at Huddle is $280,000.00 for 33 employees. Principal and Asst.
Principals are only eligible for attendance and assessment index stipend.

AMMS Recruitment and Retention Stipend (1 year at a time)

teachers who score between 1.5 and 2.4 on their final evaluation for the 2022-2023 school
year will be eligible for the $2000 stipend. Teachers must be hired prior to October 1st and
have to remain working at said schools through the end of the first semester to be awarded
the first half of the stipend ($1500.00/$1000.00 for non certified). For teachers hired for the
second semester, they must be hired by February 1st and remain working at said schools
through the end of the second semester to be awarded the second half of the stipend
($1500.00/$1000.00 for non certified). The maximum payout teachers at Alexandria Middle
Magnet would be eligible is $144,000.00 for 45 employees. Principals and Assistant
Principals are not eligible for the recruitment/retention stipend.

Horseshoe Recruitment and Retention Stipend (1 year at a time)


A Recruitment and Retention stipend shall be paid to teachers through the availability of

all effective certified teachers and $2000.00 to all non certified teachers working at
Horseshoe Drive Elementary School. Current teachers who score 2.5 or higher on their final
evaluation for the 2022-2023 school year will be eligible for the $3000 stipend. Current
teachers who score between 1.5 and 2.4 on their final evaluation for the 2022-2023 school
year will be eligible for the $2000 stipend. Teachers must be hired prior to October 1st and
have to remain working at said schools through the end of the first semester to be awarded
the first half of the stipend ($1500.00/$1000.00). For teachers hired for the second
semester, they must be hired by February 1st and remain working at said schools through
the end of the second semester to be awarded the second half of the stipend
($1500.00/$1000.00). The maximum payout teachers at Horseshoe Drive Elementary would
be eligible is $81,000 for 27 employees. Principals and Assistant Principal are not eligible
for the recruitment/retention stipend.
