movie revolves around Tezpur a district in Bihar where local politicians , goons
and corrupt senior officials establish their own way of administration and
mould official procedures accordingly to benefit themselves which in turn
creates issues for common public and honest businessmen.

This had an impact on common people that they feel they have no option but
to give up on these antisocial elements and their demands in order to secure
safety of their life and property.

The movie "Gangaajal" was named after the term "Gangaajal" which refers to the holy
water from the river Ganges in Hinduism and symbolizes purity and sanctity. The film is a
crime drama set against the backdrop of corruption in the Indian police force and the
title "Gangaajal" reflects the protagonist's attempt to cleanse the corrupt system.

From an organizational perspective, "Gangaajal" highlights several key

learnings:

1. The importance of leadership: The film emphasizes the role of leadership in shaping
organizational culture and in ensuring that employees act with integrity and follow ethical
standards.

2. The dangers of a toxic culture: The film highlights the negative impact of a toxic
organizational culture, where corruption and abuse of power are tolerated and even
encouraged.
3. The need for transparency and accountability: The film stresses the
importance of transparency and accountability in organizations, to
ensure that employees are held responsible for their actions and to
prevent corruption and abuse of power.

4. The role of HR: The film highlights the role of human resources in
promoting a positive organizational culture, in monitoring employee
behavior, and in addressing issues of misconduct.

5. The importance of ethical standards: The film underscores the

importance of establishing ethical standards for employees, and of
promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.
6 Emotions
Sadness: a very common emotion is reflected in the entire movie, due to
corruption happening, and random killings happenings all around, one such
instance is deeply reflected when the mother of the victim of the molested
woman is in a state of constant fear and sadness when her daughter was
abducted and later on her son too, just for the sake of villain’s own
benefits.
Happiness: There are a few scenes in the film that showcase moments of joy
such as the scene where SP Amit Kumar (Ajay Devgn) arrives in Tejpur and is
welcomed by the villagers. Another scene is where the villagers celebrate
after Amit Kumar resolves a land dispute in their favor. Lastly, there is a
scene where Amit Kumar's wife receives good new about her pregnancy.
Fear: There are several scenes in the film that depict fear such as the one
where the villagers are threatened and intimidated by local politicians and
their henchmen. The second scene is where a witness to a murder is afraid
to come forward and testify. The third scene is where SP Amit Kumar is
warned by his superiors about the dangerous situation he is facing in Tejpur.
Lastly, the scene where Amit Kumar's wife is intimidated by the local
politicians and threatened with harm.
Anger: The emotional outbursts depicted in the film are outbursts of Anger.
The police force, the public had become fed up of the injustice occuring all
around them. They had started growing frustrated of their inability to do
something for the victims. This frustration later manifested in the form og
an emotional outburst of anger against the perpetrators that led to the
"Gangaajal Incidents".
Disgust: This emotion was seen in several scenes of the movie. Disgusted
by the fact Bachcha had been involved with Saadhu to hide his crimes;
thereby had been betraying and misleading the Police. Amit suspends
him because of this.

Surprise: This particular emotion was also seen on occasion. One such
occasion was when Sunder is released and disrupts the marriage of the
woman he kidnapped and kills her mother. Unable to bear the loss,
the woman kills herself. Another was when Bachcha betrays Saadhu
and Sunder to prove his loyalty to the Police and Amit.
