    R U L E S & R E G U L AT I O N S

    FOR MEN’S CRICKET


    INTER SECTION TENNIS BALL CRICKET
    04-07TH JANUARY 2023

    1. A player who has played in one team is not allowed to play in another team.
    2. The tournament will be played with Wilson Tennis ball.
    3. Any requests for change of match timings will not be entertained.
    4. Matches will be of 10 overs a side.
    5. One blower can blow Maximum of 2 over in an innings.
    6. IMPACT PLAYER : Allows a team to have two such players named in a squad of 15 before the start of the match and only one can be
    substituted any time during a innings before the 6th over.
    7. Power Play:
    a. First 2 overs are mandatory power play. Batting power play is not applicable.
    b. 1 over Batting power play which can be taken anytime between 3 to 8 over’s by batting team, failing to do so the 8th
    over will become mandatory batting power play over.
    c. Only 3 players can field outside the 30 yard circle during power play over’s.
    d. During the non power play overs minimum of 4 fielders should be present within the 30 yard circle, failure to do so
    during a delivery of a ball would be called as a No-ball by the umpire.
    8. Innings/Match Duration:
    a. Matches - Each innings must be completed with in 30 minutes and innings break will be of 5 minutes. Total match
    duration is 75 Minutes
    b. Grace time per innings of 5 Minutes can be given by umpire after which the bowling team will loose 1 over in their
    batting inning.
    c. Delay caused in 2nd inning will cause the bowling team to bring 1 fielder inside 30yards circle.
    9. Reporting time
    a. Team should report 20 minutes prior to the scheduled match start time. Toss would be held 10 minutes before the start of the
    scheduled time.
    10. Minimum 7 players are required from a team to start the match. Otherwise a walkover will be awarded to the opposition team.
    Remaining players must arrive before start of 4th over of first innings and only the 7 players would be allowed to bat/ bowl/ field.
    11. On-field umpire’s decision would be the final and should abiding to all.
    12. Class Teacher and Captain is responsible for the behavior of the team on and off the ground.
    13. If case of Tie, Super over would be played.
    14. Except LBW, all other ICC cricket rules are applicable as it is.
