ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

To foster young minds towards excellence through education, our


Management started School of Arts and Science in the year 2017, bearing
the motto of Learn, Serve and Succeed. Situated in OMR- IT Corridor,
Chennai, and the SAS reigns as the paramount on the galaxy of
Educational Institutions. The SAS commits itself to promote self-
disciplined, holistic, academic excellence among the students and enables
them to make significant contribution to the welfare of the society.

School of Arts and Science has

 10 UG Programmes & 3 PG Programmes.

The Management, Head of the institution, Faculty & Staff members


are dedicated towards the successful establishment and adhere to the
Vision & Mission for the welfare of the student community.
This is visualized with the successful introduction of course
structure, effective curriculum design & continuous quest to identify
better opportunities to introduce new industry design courses so as to fill
the gap between the industry and academia specified by UGC.

In all UG & PG level the Curriculum of all the programmes are


designed implementing Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) along with
Learning Outcome Based Curriculum Framework (LOCF).

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES BY SAS FACULTIES:

Our faculty members are actively conducted and participated in


various National/International academic activities such as Conference,
Seminars/Webinars/Workshops /FDPs/Short Term Courses etc.,
7 of SAS faculty members presented Invited Lectures in various
reputed institutions.
We organized,
 41-Seminars/Webinars/Workshops/Short term training courses
 5-National/International Conferences
 5-Faculty Development Programmes
 08-Guest Lectures

SAS has nurtured the research culture of giving priority to Publications in


reputed Journals, Patents, Process Development & Consultancy to show
cause the potential of the faculty both Nationally & Globally.
Patents

 2 Patents granted to Dr. A. Hari Krishnan of Chemistry department.


 11 patents have been published by the faculties of SAS.

JOURNAL PUBLICATIONS:
 73-Indexed Journals with the highest impact factor of 7.08 (Special
Mention to Dr Hari Krishnan)

 28-Non-Indexed journals, and

 03-Book Chapters has been published.

 Even though SAS is the youngest institution in the VMRF ambit, our
PG students are motivated by the faculty members to publish their
project works in research journals (13 Papers Published).

SEED MONEY PROJECTS


 4 seed money projects have been received worth of 6 lakhs.

EXAMINATION RESULTS

In the academic year 2017-2020 a total of 206 out of 293 students


have been graduated and 22 students secured University ranks. In the
succeeding year, 2018- 2021 a total of 137 out of 178 students have been
graduated and 11 students secured University ranks.
Conclusion
Curriculum to be developed on par with future need

environment to be strengthened

 Meaningful Collaboration with Industries for Internship, consultancy
and Placement.
 Creating Centres of Excellence on emerging areas of Technology
 MoU with institute of Eminence both National and International
(For Academic, Research and Collaborative Consultancy)
 Ways to improve Assessment, Accreditation & Ranking (NAAC,
NBA, ABET and NIRF)
 Establishing ODC (open Development Centre) for Skills
upgradation, R&D, Product development, Innovation as a Business
Model with existing facilities and infrastructure.
I assure that SAS will work as one TEAM with one point agenda
“SUCCESS” for which we are going to put CONSISTENT, DEDICATED
“EFFORT” to CONQUER
