    - considers himself as the most fantastically
    intellectually gifted being in the land – Think
    Tank is never wrong
    - thinks of earthlings as inferior - calls earth as
    a primitive ball of mud

    Think Tank’s speculations about books
    “That item in your hand is called a sandwich”
    Sergeant Oop tries to eat it. Finds it very dry
    like the Martian dust
    Noodle says that Earthlings use it as a
    communication device.

    Think Tank orders to “Listen to them.”


    They are not able to hear anything and
    conclude that the earthlings may have sharper
    ears

    Noodle gives another piece of information –
    the earthlings do not listen to them, but
    opened and watched them

    Think Tank: “those sandwiches are not for ear


    communication, but eye communication. Take
    that large colourful sandwich and tell what you
    observe.”

    What Omega finds…

    intelligence.

    What Think Tank infers

    Earthlings have discovered how to


    combine agriculture and mining. They
    can actually grow crops of metals like
    silver, and explosive cockle shells.

    Asks Noodle to contact the invasion


    fleet and tell them to hold invading
    earth as new information has come.

    What Think Tank infers

    Earthlings have reached a high level of


    civilisation

    Have taught the domestic animals music and


    space techniques

    Even Dogs have sense of humour

    They may be launching an interplanetary


    attack of millions of cows.

    The third rhyme…
    What Think Tank infers
    It’s me! It’s my Great and Mighty
    Balloon brain. Earthlings are after me.
    They plan to capture me and the Mars
    Central Control. I must escape at once
    in a space capsule.

    Order the invasion fleet to evacuate


    Mars. We are heading to Alpha
    Centuari, a 100 million miles away

    Earthlings resumed contacts with Mars

    Think Tank replaced by Noodle –who was


    actually wise and wonderful

    We taught the martians difference between


    sandwiches and books, and how to read and a
    library is established in their capital city of
    Marsopolis.

    dare to read –
