BACHELOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (HONOURS)

PROGRAMME BACKGROUND
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours) is designed to train the
necessary skills in education and childcare to students. Students can increase
their understanding of early childhood development, and the curriculum is
designed to integrate the Islamic and conventional perspective in the core
aspect or application on today and tomorrow’s use based on the reality,
necessity, change, demands and challenges of the future. The curriculum is also
prepared based on the PERMATA Negara guidelines and Preschool Based
Standard Curriculum (KPSK). The variety of courses offered can give additional
value to become professional with excellent attitudes and moral conscience.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
i. Passed STPM with at least C Grade (NGMP 2.00) in any two subjects or
equivalent; or
ii. Passed STAM with at least Jayyid (Good) Grade; or
iii. Passed Matriculation/ Foundation or any equivalent qualification; or
iv.Passed SKM (Level 3) in Early Childhood Care/ Preschool and passed SPM with
at least 1 credit in any subjects; or
v. ECE Diploma or any equivalent qualification; or
vi.Diploma or any equivalent qualification.

Note:
 Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 500 or
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of 5.0 or
the equivalent is required.

 CAREER PROSPECTS
Students reading Early Childhood Education will have the chance to open a
business such as day care and kindergarten. Besides, students may also choose
to become a lecturer for a college institution. Also, they have the opportunity to
work in childcare program/entertainment such as in Legoland and Kidzania.
