MEMO

To: Prof. Ma. Eliza S. Torres, Chair of the Department of Liberal Arts
From: Jherome D.R. Songalia Jr., President of the Department of Liberal Arts Student
Council
Date: 8 March 2023
Subject: Guidelines for the Department of Liberal Arts Student Council
Faculty

I’m writing to request that all the professors must limit the number of assignments and
other activities they assign for each subject. The students are still adapting and
adjusting to the new learning system. The students can maximize their performance and
enhance the quality of their works if they are given the right amount of assignments and
activities.

Our learning system for the start of our third term is Tri-x and it is fully implemented in
our school. It is a combination of face-to-face, in-class synchronous, and in-class
recorded asynchronous sessions. The students are getting more and more evaluations
and assignments from all of their professors. Some students are not able to submit
higher quality of assessment tasks. We should be able to give them the right amount of
time that they needed for them to accomplish all the activities and giving them enough
workload so that they can focus on enhancing the quality of their work.

 The professors should be considerate when it comes to deadlines of

assessments and activities that are given to the students.

 The students need to be encouraged to submit higher quality assessments

because of the amount of time given by the professors.

 Students should be able to adjust on the new system by having enough guidance
from our faculty members.

 We should give quality education for our students enrolled and we should be able
to achieve our sustainable development goals.

For your information, guidance, and compliance

Thank you.
