Activity 1. The Worker

Work is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do you have the potential, character, talents and
skills to take up the vigor of being a worker? What should you possess to become a good worker?
How will you prepare for work immersion?

To be able to survive, we must all work to earn a living. Since this is reality, we all have to
accept and embrace this fact. I believe I am prepared to work as work immersion comes quickly. I
think I have the capacity, character, talents, and skills to handle the vigor of being a worker
because the field I am allocated to in this work immersion is one in which I am intrigued. My
acquaintances' and relatives experiences—particularly those related to their jobs—have given me
a lot. I had give my best to gain knowledge from their experiences and perhaps implement the
lessons I've learned about being a worker by listening to them.

In my humble opinion, in order to be a good worker, one must possess good ethical behavior,
suitable abilities, and, foremost, an eagerness to learn from mistakes and apply those lessons to
become a better person. Being a good worker also requires being an endless learner who strives
for improvement. The first step in preparing for work immersion is to make myself mentally and
physically prepared for the experience of being immersed in a new place and new experiences.

The time for work immersion is quickly approaching, and I believe I am ready to rise to the
challenge as a worker who is always gaining knowledge. With all the lessons being taught to us, I
believe that by the time we are placed in our work surroundings, I will be someone who is
educated, resilient, and possesses what it takes to be an efficient worker .

Activity 3: Situational Analysis

Confidentiality in the workplace

Suppose you work in a police station or a law firm and signed a confidentiality agreement regarding
all their cases at hand, suddenly your friend who was a suspect to a crime asked you for some
documents that are in your office’s possession that may help him in his case. How would you
deal withthe situation?

I will tell my friend that it is against my agreement that I’ve signed to get some documents
that are in my office’s possession that can help him in his case.If he will still pursue me to get
the documents I will report him to the authority or to the police to make him stop pursuing me
to get the documents or files.

Activity 10. Job Interview
A job interview is an interview consisting of a conversation between a job applicant
and a representative of an employer which is conducted to assess whether the applicant
should be hired.

1.During the conduct of the mock job interview, do you think you did well?

I think I gave my answers honestly and actively. I also gave exact answers on the questions
being asked to me by the interviewer. I was able to clearly and appropriately respond to the
questions. I believe I performed admirably at the mock job interview with this.

2.What are the areas that you think you are good at and areas that needed to be
improved?

I think the areas that are good to me is my activeness in answering the questions and being
able to focus on what the interviewer is asking. The areas that needed to be improved is my
confidence because sometime I am not confident on my answer or maybe my answer is not
correct. I need also to calm down so that I can concentrate much more clearly throughout the
interview. Even though I was able to establish eye contact with the interviewer, I felt somewhat
unsettled by the environment.

3.Are you more confident now to answer during the job interview?
I can say that I am now confident to answer during the job interview because now I know what
to expect during a job interview and what do the interviewer expects on our answers or response
and I have a much better understanding of my own skills and what I still need to study and
improve upon. I can use this experience to strengthen my strengths and work on my weaknesses.

Activity 25. Accomplishment

During my work knowledge in the General Services Office, I actively participated in to the
everyday operation of the office facilities, including upkeep, repairs, and improvement. I gained
knowledge of skills to plan maintenance tasks, communicate with third-party suppliers, and
make sure that tools and utilities run well. Along with maintaining inventory records, I assisted
in keeping track of office supplies, equipment, and other resources. Maintaining inventory
databases, conducting frequent stock inspections, and communicating with suppliers to
ensure sufficient supplies were all necessary for this.

In addition, I was in charge of maintaining precise records and documentation for a variety
of other office responsibilities. This includes filing documents, organizing files, and maintaining
the safety and privacy of important data. During my work immersion, I cooperated fully with
the General Services Office's staff and other team members. I attended team meetings,
imparted knowledge, and shared ideas to help make the office operations more effective and
efficient overall.

Many thanks to my work immersion in the General Services Office, I was able to develop
practical experience in a variety of fields, including making purchases, event organizing,
building management, record keeping, and customer service. I acquired essential abilities and
understanding that will be beneficial for a future career in related fields .

Activity 26. Work Immersion Highlights

During the work immersion, I met a lot of outstanding people. The benefits of the General
Services Office for both companies and the public at large, as well as how much everyone benefits
from them, were other things I learnt a lot about. It was great for me to get to know new people
and experience a whole new environment, thus I may look back on this full job immersion as a
highlight. I don't engage in practical activities frequently, so each one is a highlight for me. Our
introduction to welding, soldering, driving and website browsing were the events that most stood
out to me and that I would consider to be as highlights.

Activity 27. My Reflection
How did the experienced change as a person, and how will it help me in the future.

During the work immersion, I learned a lot of new things. In both the fields of engineering
and social services, I learned a lot. I now understand that even though the task seems simple, it
may be really complex if you don't have enough knowledge to properly understand what is being
done.

Many aspects of my knowledge and expertise are lacking, but I took advantage of work
immersion to fill those gaps. Almost everything I experienced all through the immersion was new
to me, thus I gained a lot of learning. Considering the fact that everything was quite difficult for
me—I enjoy learning—I find it to be highly enjoyable.

My everyday life will certainly benefit from the experience I got all through the immersion. I'm
now able to use what I have learned in my daily activities. It not only helped in gaining knowledge
but also in my growth as an individual by showing me which at first glimpse seems to be simple is
actually quite difficult.
