eBaseball Power League

Rulebook
League Distribution
There will be a 10 team cap per league at increasing skill level with the EPL being the highest
skill level and our main league:
● EPL
● Triple-P
● Double-P
● Single-P
These leagues will further be divided into 2 divisions of 5 teams
● World League
● Global League

Pre-Season Draft
The draft’s order will be decided on their previous season’s performance (Or the last tournament
in the first season’s case). With poorer performing teams getting first picks and better
performing teams getting later picks. This will help the teams have a balance and no one team
being too powerful.

A full draft will happen every single season due to the fact that teams constantly are swapping
leagues both upwards and downwards, so repeat players may happen as a result.

The draft will be in a snake draft format.

In a Snake Draft, the pick order is reversed each round. Each team manager takes turns
drafting unique players via a back-and-forth, round-by-round draft order.

In the inaugural league draft, teams will be required to draft a team of 8 pitchers and 17 fielders
for a total of 25 players.

Season Length
The league will be played in a “Round Robin” format, each team will play against every team in
your respective league in a 3 game series with one series per week. Each season will consist of
27 games over a 9 week period, excluding playoffs and championships. Games will all have a
clear winner with no draws even if extra innings are required. All games must be completed
within that one calendar week (Sunday to Saturday).

Teams are required to screenshot their scores from at least one person. If the team who
had the responsibility to post a screenshot fails to do so, they will automatically forfeit
that game of the series. We highly recommend you record/stream the games in case you
forget a screenshot.
Game Rules
Games will be played in a standard 9 inning game with extra innings at 15, settings must be set
to the following:
● Opponent Stats: PR Free
● Regular Innings: 9
● Extra Innings: 15
● Tiebreaker Rules: Yes
● Called Game: 7 runs
● DH: Yes
● Spotlight: No
● Pitch Time Limit: No Skip
● Cost: Any
● Lock-On Limit:
○ EPL: Disabled
○ Triple-P: 1
○ Double-P: 2
○ Single-P: 3
● Regular Season Stadium
○ EPL: Crown Diamond
○ Triple-P: Hilly Field
○ Double-P: Schoolyard
○ Single-P: Emerald Park
● Playoff Stadium
○ Every tier, EPL through Single-P, will play their playoff games in Blue Stadium

Playoffs
The teams that make the playoffs will consist of the top 2 teams from each division, this means
that there will be the first round of the playoffs, then the championships. The first round will be a
standard 3 game series as the rest of the normal season was played with a best 2 out of 3.

The Championships will be played in a longer 5 game series with a best 3 out of 5. Teams will
have 10 days to play through games.
Postseason
After the Postseason, teams will be automatically reshuffled into leagues based on their
performance during the previous season and playoffs. Teams who make the Championships in
either Triple-P, Double-P, or Single-P will be automatically moved up to the next league.

The winner of the championship series will be able to choose their division, with the loser going
to the one the winner did not pick. Additionally, the winner of the championship in either Triple-
P, Double-P, or Single-P, will earn the right to the 1st overall pick in the first round of the
following season’s draft as they advance to the higher level league, with the loser of the
championship receiving the 2nd overall pick.

The bottom 2 teams, specifically the 5th place teams in each division, will be moved down to the
lower league, so a low performing EPL team will go down to PPP and so on. This will help keep
the leagues competitive and give other teams time in the EPL spotlight.

The worst team which was demoted to a lower league will receive the 10th overall pick and the
second worst team will receive the 9th overall pick in the following season's draft in the lower
tier.

Pitcher Rules
Since fatigue doesn’t carry over between games, there will be some ground rules for pitchers.

● -Starters: Must face at least three batters or pitch to end of half-inning, per MLB three-
batter minimum rule; automatic 2 games of rest**
● -Relievers: Must face at least three batters or pitch to end of half-inning. per MLB three-
batter minimum rule**
○ <20 pitches, no rest
○ 20-35 pitches: 1 game of rest
○ 35+ pitches: 2 games of rest

**Note regarding 3 batter rule: If a team removes a starting pitcher or relief pitcher, whether
intentionally or accidentally before the minimum 3 batters OR the end of half-inning, they will be
penalized with a mandatory 1 game rest requirement for the pitcher who was swapped out, on
top of any mandatory rest based on pitch count (RP only) or starting pitching role (SP only).

For example, if Zensai appeared in relief with one out already made in the inning, but was
removed before she faced three batters OR ended the inning with two outs, she would be
ineligible as a reliever for the next game. She is allowed to be removed if she records the
remaining two outs to end the inning, only having faced two hitters.
“Home” vs “Away”
Since all teams play on the same field, there is technically no “home” and “away”, instead we
will use the coin toss method to pick who bats first. The winner of the coin toss will select the
team at bat first. For fairness, please ensure both competitors get at least one home game a
series.

Trades
Trades are allowed throughout the season until the trade deadline which is at the end of week 5.

Free Agency

1. Teams are allowed to swap anybody they want on their roster with any players who were not
picked up in the initial draft.

2. Teams are NOT allowed to select any of the new characters that were just added to the
game. Those characters will become available in the mid-season draft.

3. FA assignments will only occur after an ongoing series is completed. If you have not started
Game 1 of your series, both competitors in that matchup may still acquire FA players.

4. If a team requests a player in the middle of their series, you will own the rights to that player,
but only after Game 3 of your ongoing series is completed will you receive the player.

5. Pitchers follow a slightly different ruleset than fielders due to the games of rest requirements.
If a pitcher who has at least one game of rest is released, the pitcher picked up from FA will
inherit their games of rest and will not be able to play until the rest period is completed. This rule
exists to prevent anyone from getting around rest rules.

6. In order to initiate an FA request, please tag @League Admins so we can see it. To make it
easier for everyone, it would be best to put these posts in your tier's respective Trade Talk Chat,
due to the high volume of posts in the Tier Discussion chats where it might get lost.

7. FA signings will be allowed until one week after the mid-season draft. This will give everyone
a chance to change their minds or make other changes afterwards.
Rookie Draft
If new players are added during the time that the league is running, a Rookie Draft will take
place. The order of draft picks will be decided based on the current standings.
