Learning new words of the target languet needs an effective methods and techniques, i.e. YouTube.

  The aim of this


study was to reveal the effectiveness of using YouTube, as a learning tool, to help the learners of the target language
develop their vocabulary learning. The study population consisted of 64 third grade EFL learners at Al-Mansour 
Preparatory School for Girls during the first semester of the academic year 2018/2019. The researcher selected 40
students randomly to serve as a sample of the study. A pre test was used to measure learners' vocabulary level before
conducting the study, two months later and after finishing applying the experiment, the same test, under same
conditions was  retest on the same sample to measure if there is any difference in the learners' mean scores due to
using the new method that is YouTube. Results revealed that the experimental group learned lots of new words with
the help of YouTube. In other words, YouTube offered a new experience for learners to learn new words. YouTube
helped learners to learn not only the meanings of these words, but also how to use them in context. The researcher
recommended to conducted other studies to develop learners' communicative skills.
