    ColorPRINT Read Me
    Welcome to ColorPRINT® RIP software. This document contains late-breaking product
    information and notes that users need to pay attention before installation. It includes following
    sections:

    Minimum System Requirements

    Installation

    Uninstallation

    Optimized Feature

    Important Notes

    Minimum System Requirement

    ColorPRINT can be installed on Windows 2000 and Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

    Below are the minimum requirements for your computer to run the software; however, the
    system requirements for the software depend on the workload and the output size of the print.

    CPU Dual Core Processor


    Memory 2G
    Hard Disk Hard disc of high capacity
    Display 1024 x 768 dpi with 32-bit color
    Drive CD-ROM Drive
    Interface Universal Serial Bus (USB);
    For others, please refer to your printer manual for
    supported interfaces.
    Port TCP/IP
    Browser Internet Explorer 6.0

    Installation

    Take Windows 2000/XP as example:

    1) Log on as the system administrator.


    2) Quit all running applications, including any anti-virus utilities that may be running in
    background.
    3) Insert the installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. The installer will automatically start.
    If it does not start, run the setup.exe in the installation CD.
    4) Choose your language and click OK.
    5) If you do not have Microsoft .NET® framework 1.1, the installer will install it for you,
    and if the following dialog shows up, click the Next button.

    6) Enter your name and organization, or accept the default values.

    7) Click the Install Passwords button, enter the passwords given to you by your reseller
    and click OK

    8) In the Install this application for, choose “Anyone who uses this computer (all users)”

    and click the Next button.

    9) Choose “Custom” in the Setup Type dialog, the following dialog appears:

    10) Choose which ICC profiles and printer drivers to install by checking the checkbox
    before the manufacturer name. Click the OK button after you finished selecting
    manufacturers. And then click the Next button.

    11) Click the Change button to select the program folder where the software will be
    installed, or accept the default folder. Click the Next button.

    12) Click the Install button.


    13) Click the Finish button when the installation is done.
    Note: If you are using Windows XP and it prompts you with the following dialog, click
    ColorPRINT Read Me

    the “Continue Anyway” button:

    14) After the computer restarts, plug the USB security key to a USB port of your computer.
    The software will not run without the USB security key.
    15) Restart your computer and plug the dongle to the USB port.
    16) Start CP by double clicking the icon on the desktop; the password installation warning
    message pops up and shows the Password Installer dialogue.
    Note:
    User can also open this Password Installer dialogue by selecting option
    Passwords Installer < ColorPRINT < Start.
    Warning:
    Only after ColorPRINT is installed can users open the Password Installer
    dialogue by selecting the Passwords Installer from the Start. Do NOT open this
    dialogue during the installation.

    17) Add main and option passwords, and click OK. Now ColorPRINT RIP software can run
    normally.

    Uninstallation

    There are two ways to remove the software from your system:
     From the Windows Control Panel:
     Exit the software
     In the Windows Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs
     Select "ColorPRINT" and press the Remove button
     Select "Yes" and the RIP software will be uninstalled from your computer
     From the Start button:
    From the Windows Start button, select ColorPRINT from the Settings menu and click
    Uninstall.

    Note: Delete the folder where software was installed and all shortcuts from the
    desktop.

    Optimized Feature
    Reset Program: Like other standard Windows applications, ColorPRINT installer creates
    options in the Start Menu, among which, Reset Program enables users to reset ColorPRINT so
    that the software will go back to the status when it is just installed.

    Important Notes
     Turn off all the Anti Virus program before installing ColorPRINT, you can turn on it after
    install complete;
     After installation, go to Program < Control Panel to check if Microsoft .net framework
    1.1 is installed successfully.
     Restart your computer after installation, especially when the operation system is
    Windows Vista and Windows 7.
     It is suggested to manually install the patch DOTNET1.1_SP1.exe, which is included
    in the installation package of ColorPRINT.
     If there’s anything abnormal happens to the software, like failing to start normally and
    abnormal exit when running, please diagnose your computer with Anti-Virus program
    and reinstall ColorPRINT. Check and test if it can run normally; if not, please contact
    your technical support.
