2. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
HAZARD CLASSIFICATION: HAZARDOUS according to the criteria of the Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of
Chemicals (GHS)
Prevention statements:
• P101 Keep packaging on hand if medical advice required.
• P102 Keep out of reach of children.
• P103 Read label before use.
• P261 Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
• P264 Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
• P272 Contaminated work clothes should not leave of the workplace.
• P273 Avoid release to the environment.
• P280 Wear PPE gloves/clothing etc.
THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS SDS IS SPECIFIC TO THE PRODUCT WHEN HANDLED AND USED NEAT.
This product when diluted/mixed may not require the same control measures as the neat product. See section 16 for more
information. Check with your technical representative if in doubt.
GENERAL RESPONSE PROCEDURE: Eliminate all sources of ignition. Increase ventilation. Avoid walking through spilled product as it may
be slippery. Use clean, non-sparking tools and equipment. Avoid inhalation. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and
safety practice. Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas if possible.
CLEAN UP PROCEDURES: Use clean non-sparking tools to collect absorbed material. Absorb or cover large spills with dry earth, sand
or other non-combustible material and transfer to containers, or flood with plenty of water to dilute. Eliminate all sources of ignition.
CONTAINMENT: Stop leak if you can do it without risk.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: Do not allow product to reach drains, sewers or waterways. If large amounts of this
product does enter a waterway, advise the Environmental Protection Authority or your local Waste Authority.
EVACUATION CRITERIA: Evacuate all unnecessary personnel.
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: Personnel involved in the clean up should wear full protective clothing as listed in section 8.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING Ensure an eye bath is available and ready for use. Observe good personal hygiene practices and recommended procedures.
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Do not smoke, eat or drink when handling product.
STORAGE Store upright in the original container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated protected area out of direct sunlight and away from food-
stuffs. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use. Inspect regularly for deficiencies such as damage or leaks. Do not combine part
containers of the same product. Emergency showers and eye-washes must be available.
CONTAINER Store in original packaging as approved by manufacturer.
MARINE TRANSPORT: NOT Classified as DANGEROUS GOODS by International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code) for trans-
port by sea.
AIR TRANSPORT: NOT Classified as DANGEROUS GOODS by International Air Transport Association (IATA) for transport by air.
