COURSE TITLE: CLJ 1 - INTRODUCTION TO PHILIPPINE CRIMINAL

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals with the study of formal and informal
components of the Criminal Justice System of the Philippines. It covers the
respective mandates, processes, and interrelations in the administration of criminal
justice, and the other forms of justice system.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals with the etiology of delinquency, the

measures for deterrence and control of teenage crime. Moreover, the course
recognizes the various laws and provisions that protect the rights and welfare of
children including the role of different agencies in handling child in conflict with the

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals with the study of the different
mechanisms in dealing and resolving conflicts/disputes. It includes the art of
intervention through mediation, and reconciliation between stakeholders and
agencies tasked to carry out the endeavor. Likewise, the course includes the
concepts of crisis management and the proper procedure in handling the incident.
Moreover, the study significantly provides mechanisms on how to adopt strategies in
dealing with potential and actual crises which are being addressed by concerned
agencies and authorities and the community.
