Morada de Dios" Worship Ministry
1 INTRODUCTION

The Morada de Dios worship ministry belongs to the Morada de Dios Church of Christ, and
focuses its values on service, praise and total worship based on the Word of God. The worship
ministry in this and any other congregation requires a lot of responsibility and commitment on the
part of its members, so it is essential that the Vision and General Norms of the congregation are
clearly known so that we can do everything pleasing to the Lord and in the established order.

The word ministry comes from the Latin "ministerium" which means to serve. A minister in
this sense is a person who performs a service, i.e. assists or helps another.

The worship ministry is one of the many ministries positioned as "help", and is a group of
people whose main objective is to facilitate the encounter with God through song and music,
offering the best of each one in response to what the Lord has done for us.

Let us never forget that the Lord's mercy is great and that he rewards those who seek him,
and rewards those who serve him, so we can only strive to fulfill that for which we were called.
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm and
unmovable, always progressing in the work of the Lord,
aware that your work in the Lord is not in vain.
[1 Corinthians 15:58]

4 GENERAL REGULATIONS OF THE MINISTRY

4.1 ADMISSION PROCESS

4.1.1 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY TO SERVE IN WORSHIP MINISTRY

1) To have been baptized in water.

2) To be an active member of the congregation in communion.
3) To have persevered constantly in the congregation for at least 1 year before wanting to be part of the
worship ministry, having fulfilled responsibly in all those services in which he/she would have been
taken into account.
4) To be committed to living a life of integrity and having a witness of righteousness both within the
congregation and outside of it.
5) Have the ability to sing or play a musical instrument.

4.1.2 PROCEDURE TO BECOME PART OF THE WORSHIP MINISTRY

1) Fill out the application form provided by the worship coordinator.

2) Have an interview with the worship ministry coordinator.
3) Perform the audition process.
4) Fulfill the probationary period.

The applicant who meets the minimum requirements may complete the procedure only every 6 months.

If the applicant does not meet the minimum requirements, he/she will not be able to start this procedure.

Once the completed application is submitted, the worship ministry coordinator will inform you of the date and
time of the audition process.

4.1.3 OF THE HEARING PROCESS:

The sole purpose of the audition process shall be to determine if the members of the congregation who are
applying to be part of the worship ministry possess the necessary attitudes and aptitudes to participate in this
office.

The audition process consists of a test of singing or playing a musical instrument, through which the applicant will
demonstrate his or her talent.

If the applicant successfully completes the audition procedure, he/she will become part of the worship ministry,
and will be obliged to comply with each of its rules during a probationary period.

If the applicant is unable to successfully complete the audition process (if he/she cannot sing or play an
instrument), he/she will have 6 months to improve his/her singing or playing of his/her instrument in order to
resume the audition process.

The number of those who were instructed in singing to the LORD, with their relatives, all who were
skilled, was two hundred and eighty-eight. [2 Chronicles 25:7]

4.1.4 OF THE TRIAL PERIOD

Once a new member is received into the worship ministry, it is necessary to put him/her on probation for a
period of no less than 2 months, during which time the new member will have to meet all the standards of the
worship ministry, and demonstrate his/her affinity to the vision of the ministry, as well as his/her loyalty,
faithfulness and subjection.

The objective of this period is an opportunity for the new members to know the real responsibility of being part
of the worship ministry.

After this period the new member may decide whether to commit to the service for the next full year or decline
to be part of the worship ministry.

4.2 PERSONAL QUALITIES OF EACH WORSHIP MINISTRY MEMBER

Every person who is part of the ministry of worship must be endowed with qualities that help him to perform the
task entrusted to him with speed and quality, these qualities can be summarized according to what we find in 1
Samuel 16:16-18

One of the courtiers suggested: "I know a boy who can play the harp. He is brave, a skilled warrior,
knows how to express himself and has a good presence. Moreover, the LORD is with him. His father is
Jesse of Bethlehem. [1 Samuel 16:18]

Let's list these qualities:

4.2.1 KNOW HOW TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT WELL,

This refers to the natural or learned ability to play a musical instrument or to play the very instrument with which
the Lord has endowed us, the voice. It is important that each member of the worship team knows how to play an
instrument or sing, and that he/she knows how to do it well. It is therefore very important that our music is made
with excellence, since this is what the bible commands us, and it is an offering nothing more and nothing less
than to the creator of music, how could God receive a sick offering? How could God receive a praise if we play it
"as it comes out", or in a mediocre and irresponsible way?

[Psalm 33:3] Sing unto him a new song: make it good, rejoicing.
[Colossians 3:23] And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

was understanding. [1 Chronicles 15:22 KJV1909]

4.2.2 TO BE BRAVE AND A SKILLED WARRIOR
This means that he must be willing to face the dangers of standing in the gap for others, in the Hebrew the word
used in this verse which is translated into English as "brave" is "guibbor" and refers to a person who is practically
accustomed to combat. This shows us that the member of the worship team must not be timid, he must not be
fainthearted, but rather be hard-working and skilled in spiritual warfare.

And every stroke of the righteous rod that the LORD shall lay upon him shall be with timbrels and with
harps; and he shall fight against them in a tumultuous battle [Isaiah 30:32-33].

4.2.3 KNOW HOW TO EXPRESS ONESELF

This means nothing more and nothing less than "to be prudent with words", moreover he must be a person
whose mouth is reserved for blessing, and not for cursing. [James 3:2-12], [Ephesians 4:29], [Proverbs 10:31] we
could quote many more verses.

4.2.4 BEAUTIFUL LOOKING

Here there are two aspects to consider, first, the beauty of the heart, fruit of our relationship with the Lord, must
be reflected in our face, and second, it speaks to us of our physical appearance, of our way of dressing.
A cheerful heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but for sorrow of heart the spirit is cast down.
[Proverbs 15:13]

4.2.5 JEHOVAH (THE LORD) IS WITH HIM

This is perhaps the most important of the qualities of a member of the praise ministry, since he must be a bearer
of the Glory of God, and of course for this he must be a person committed to prayer and the study of the word of
the Lord, subjecting himself to the ministerial authorities set forth by the Lord.

Sing for joy in the LORD, O righteous; praise is fitting for the upright. [Psalm 33:1]
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed some to sing to the LORD, and some to praise
him in holy garments, as they went out before the army, and to say: Give thanks unto the LORD, for his
mercy endureth for ever. [2 Chronicles 20:21]

4.2.6 RECOGNIZES AUTHORITY AND HAS A HOME AND PROVENANCE

In the last part of the verse we see that David was the son of Jesse, that means that the minister of praise must
recognize the authority and the paternity of a shepherd.

Tabernacle of
Revival
DWELLING OF GOD
We can also see this in 1 Chronicles 25:6-8, when we see that David's directors were under the orders of the King
All these were under the direction of their father to sing in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, harps,
and lyres, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman were under the king's
direction. [1 Chronicles 25:6]
There are many other qualities described in the word of God, but they are given as a fruit of those already
described.

4.3 RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE WORSHIP MINISTRY WITHIN THE

CONGREGATION
Members of the worship ministry are expected, in addition to fulfilling their duties within this ministry, to comply
with the following:

4.3.1 ASSIST THE PASTOR OR PASTORAL DELEGATE

The members of the worship ministry should be the first to support the pastor directly or indirectly, or to attend
to his requests. If at any time the provisions of the pastor or pastoral delegate interfere with their duties within
the worship ministry, they should contact the ministry coordinator to determine the actions to be taken.

4.3.2 TO GATHER IN A CONSTANT AND PERSEVERING MANNER

As those responsible for leading the people of God, the first to be in the congregation at each service should be
the members of the worship ministry, as they will be an example of life for the other members of the
congregation.

4.3.3 TO BE A PUBLIC RELATIONS AGENT

The members of the worship ministry are responsible for keeping the vision of the church alive, so it is of utmost
importance that their relationship with the other members of the congregation be completely honest and
correct. Therefore, greet other brethren, avoid gossip and backbiting, and avoid participating in conversations
contrary to your own ministerial network, congregation, leaders and other members.

4.3.4 MAINTAIN A TESTIMONY APPROPRIATE TO THE SERVICE HE/SHE PERFORMS.

The member of the worship ministry leader who is recognized by other members of the congregation for his or
her effort, dedication, wisdom and perseverance.

4.3.5 PRACTICE AND CONSTANTLY IMPROVE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR INSTRUMENT OR VOICE.
The members of the praise ministry should be experts in singing and in the execution of their instrument, and for
this it is necessary that they diligently seek to cultivate and improve their talents.

4.3.6 ACT IN A MATURE MANNER AND BE A CONFIDANTE

As a worshipper, the member of the worship ministry should be a spiritually mature person.
a) The worshipper should not be sought out to perform the role of pastor.

No member of the worship ministry shall perform the role of pastor, counselor, or minister.

b) The member of the worship ministry should be a confidant.

Tabernacle of
Revival
DWELLING OF GOD
The worshipper should also not receive complaints against the pastor, leaders or members of the church.
Regardless of the situation, a worshiper is committed to the ministry of helping his church, and this should be his
attitude in every situation he has to face. You must think and work as a team. Your leader can help you resolve
the situation or take you to the pastor if necessary.

If you know of a brother who lives disorderly, address him first in private to make him see his error, if this
brother is a member of the worship ministry or any other area of service, then approach the leader of the area in
which he serves and the pastor, but do not divulge to whom it does not correspond, remember that we must
raise the fallen, not destroy him.

c) When confidentiality is optional.

If by way of confession he is informed of any action against the law. You are not legally obligated to remain silent
about this information, and you may approach your pastor or worship director and freely discuss the possible
actions and/or prayer that need to be taken.

4.4 WORSHIP MINISTRY ACTIVITIES

Members of the worship ministry shall attend punctually all activities to which they are summoned by any
means, whether verbally, in writing, electronically or digitally.

The activities to be attended by the members of the worship ministry will be:

4.4.1 WEEKLY INSTRUMENT PRACTICE SESSIONS

Meetings will be scheduled 1 to 2 times per week, during which the members of the worship ministry should
attend the congregation to practice their instrument individually or as a group. The objective of these sessions is
that those who do not have an instrument for the moment can practice adequately to improve the performance
of their instrument.

4.4.2 SINGING PRACTICE SESSIONS

techniques in order to constantly improve the use of their voice.

These will be extra-ordinary activities designed to enhance fellowship among members of the worship ministry.

4.5 WEEKLY INSTRUMENT PRACTICE SESSIONS

4.5.1 OBJECTIVE

4.5.2 DAY OF REALIZATION

This session may be held on any day of the week, at the direction of the worship ministry coordinator.

These sessions will begin at 7:00 p.m. sharp, the first 15 minutes will be dedicated to prayer, using the remaining
time to achieve the objective of these sessions.

4.6 WEEKLY ASSEMBLY SESSIONS

4.6.1 OBJECTIVE
The objective of the ensemble sessions is to combine the performance of all instruments and voices to achieve
an adequate harmony for each song to be ministered in the general services. In addition, during these sessions,
changes of tonality and other details necessary for the harmonization of all instruments and voices will be
practiced.

4.6.2 DAY OF COMPLETION

This session shall be held on Saturday and shall be held on a weekly basis. If for any other activity of the
congregation it is impossible to hold this session on Saturday, it shall be held on the Sunday immediately
following the Sunday service.

19:00-21:00 Time dedicated to musical ensemble.

4.6.4 RESPONSIBILITY IN THE ENSABLE SESSIONS

• The assembly sessions will be led by the worship ministry coordinator or his/her delegate, and each
member may contribute whatever he/she considers necessary as long as it helps to improve the
assembly.
• The practice of voice and musical instruments is an absolute individual responsibility of each member;
failure to comply with this responsibility will be considered as negligence.
• Each member is responsible for attending all ensemble sessions on time.
• Each member should bring his or her bible (in paper or electronic form) to all activities to which he or
she is summoned.
• Each of the members must show full interest in the ensemble meetings, avoiding talking or digressing on
other topics outside the assembly session, i.e. all members must remain attentive and silent during the
time period of the session.
• Each member shall set an example of teamwork, avoid belittling others, and behave humbly.
• Each member will be responsible for cleaning his or her microphone or instrument, as well as for its
correct tuning and warm-up within the established time.
• The songs to be practiced in each rehearsal must be indicated at least 5 days in advance, and the
coordinator will be responsible for providing the members with all the necessary content for their
correct interpretation, being able to delegate this task to another member totally or partially.

• The members who receive the delegation of any task from the ministry coordinator must carry it out in a
timely manner and within the time indicated.
• Only members of the group and their young children, if any, may be present during the assembly
meetings, in order to optimize the time available for this activity. If the ministry member(s) bring young
children with them, they should be gradually incorporated into the ministry choir, provided the parents
agree.
• The use of cell phones will be allowed only in case of emergency.
• It is the duty of all members to have prepared and memorized the scores and lyrics of the songs before
arriving at the rehearsal.
• During the ensemble sessions, short audition periods may be held to determine the progress of the
musicians and singers in the performance of their instrument/voice.

4.6.5 ABSENCES FROM ASSEMBLY SESSIONS

In the event of being unable to attend assembly meetings due to FORCE MAJEURE, members must notify the
worship ministry coordinator in advance with adequate justification.

Tabernacle of
Revival
DWELLING OF GOD
Any member who misses assembly sessions or any other activity called by the worship ministry coordinator in an
unexcused manner may be deprived of serving in the immediate following general services.

Any member who misses two consecutive unexcused absences from assembly sessions or any other activity to
which he/she is summoned will receive a written notice of non-compliance. If the member is absent 4 times in an
unjustified manner, he/she will be removed from service until he/she resumes punctual attendance to assembly
sessions and other activities to which he/she is summoned. If the member accumulates 6 continuous unexcused
absences, he/she may be completely excluded from the worship ministry.

4.7 CONGREGATIONAL CELEBRATIONS

It is in the congregational celebrations where the members of the worship ministry must put into practice their
spiritual and musical qualities, and it is also the time when each of the members perform their service, therefore,
there are several points that need to be considered as responsibilities within the same:

4.7.1 PUNCTUALITY AND PERSONAL PRESENTATION

All members of the worship ministry who are scheduled to serve must be present at least 30 minutes before the
beginning of the activity.
If the member of the worship ministry does not appear within 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the service
without justification, he/she may be replaced by another member.

The member of the worship ministry who is to serve is required to be present 30 minutes early to allow sufficient
time to perform the following tasks:

1. Clean the pulpit thoroughly

2. Clean the microphone to be used, as well as the cables.
3. Clean the instrument and/or amplifier to be used.
4. Tuning your instrument
5. Perform the respective sound test
6. Praying together
If the member of the worship ministry shows up after the service has begun, he/she may no longer minister in
the service, celebration or activity.

It is the responsibility of each and every one of the members of the ministry to present themselves in the most
formal manner possible, so as not to dishonor other members of the congregation, or the Lord Himself.

4.7.2 OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE SERVICE

The service directors shall inform the other members of the ministry about the choirs that will minister in their
turn at least 5 days prior to the day on which they will minister, indicating:

• Order
• Name of the praise
• Shade

The purpose of this is so that the musicians and each member participating in the service can learn the praises
beforehand and do not need to consult ciphers during the service. It is also useful for the worship director to
prepare himself adequately by asking the Lord's guidance for the service in which it is his turn to minister.

Tabernacle of
Revival
DWELLING OF GOD
The worship director is responsible for guiding the other members of the ministry during the celebration of the
service, for this purpose he/she should make the signs in a way that is understandable to the other members.

The worship leader should position himself in a place where all members of the ministry can comfortably follow
his every direction.

The worship leader is the only one who may raise his voice to pray or minister briefly, our ministry should be
based on music and singing in an orderly manner.

The worship leader should pay attention throughout the service, avoiding closing his eyes during the
ministration.

The praises that are ministered during the celebration of the service should be in accordance with the moment
or word in which they are ministered.

The worship leader should lead the rest of the group in a gentle manner, without abrupt gestures, using God's
wisdom and grace for that purpose.

Tabernacle of _______
Revival
DWELLING OF GOD
It is by no means advisable to introduce songs during a ministration that have never been assembled, or that
have been rehearsed minutes before the beginning of the meeting.

The worship director should prepare himself (spiritually and musically) adequately for each service in which he
serves since his main responsibility is to give direction to the other members of the worship ministry in order to
lead the people in praise and worship, through the court, holy place and most holy place.

4.7.3 OF THE CHORISTERS

Choir members should reflect joy in their faces during the celebration of the services.

The members of the choir should be attentive to the indications of the praise director, singing at all times in the
appropriate key, avoiding shouting, praying or ministering.

Choir members should position themselves at the microphones so that they can clearly see the conductor's
directions.

During services, background voices should at no time exceed the volume of the leader or principal voice. You
should maintain a spirit of subjection to the leader during ministrations and at all times be attentive to the
leader's directions.

Learning the lyrics, listening to them and studying them prior to services and rehearsals is your absolute
responsibility.

4.7.4 OF MUSICIANS
Musicians should tune up and warm up prior to the start of each celebration.

Improvisation in music requires great discipline, so it is forbidden to improvise without first knowing exactly
what you are doing.

The sound of each instrument should be equivalent to the others, no instrument should sound louder than the
others.

All the praises that are ministered must be memorized in advance, and their execution must be excellent, the
use of ciphers during the celebrations of service will be considered an act of negligence.

During the ministration the musician should reflect the joy of the Lord.

Exhibitionism is prohibited.

Other obligations of musicians

They should perform their tasks with complete willingness and put their knowledge at the service of others,
always seeking to improve musically and spiritually.
They shall ensure that the instruments are correctly tuned before each meeting and that they are properly cared
for and maintained.

Tabernacle of
Revival
DWELLING OF GOD
They should collaborate with the worship director and the soundman when the audio equipment must be
transported to a location outside the congregation (public meetings, visits to other churches, etc.).

They should have their own instrument at home with which they can practice the songs in a responsible way, in
order to improve day by day in the execution of each instrument.

They should also be continuously learning to improve the performance of their instrument.

4.7.5 SERVE WITH JOY

It is essential that the members of the worship ministry always reflect joy, thankfulness and happiness in their
faces.

A smile helps create a loving atmosphere of acceptance so that people can receive the ministry they so
desperately need.

A smile attracts people to you. It expresses joy, joy and happiness. Send signs of welcome and friendship.

Be sure to maintain a joyful attitude that demonstrates what a privilege it is to serve God. The person who
comes to the service thinks that his attitude is the attitude of the pastor and his wife.

4.7.6 BEHAVIOR AT THE ALTAR

• Since your purpose is to lead others, actively participate in praise and worship, even if your commitment
is to play an instrument.
• Do not talk to other members or members of the congregation during services.
• Do not chew gum at the altar.
• Avoid unpleasant gestures and attitudes.
• Worship ministers should avoid all kinds of distractions during the ministration in order to fulfill the
service in the best way.

4.8 DEVOTIONAL WORSHIP ACTIVITIES

• Attendance at devotional activities is also mandatory.
• All the rules established for assembly sessions regarding personal behavior are applicable to devotional
meetings.

4.9 EQUIPMENT, SOUND AND PERSONAL APPEARANCE

4.9.1 GENERAL CLEANING OF THE PULPIT

The cleaning of the pulpit (platform) will be the absolute responsibility of the members of the worship ministry,
who will watch each day that they serve to arrive 30 minutes before the temple to perform this task and others
inherent to their position.

DWELLING OF GOD
4.9.2 MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT AND USE OF INSTRUMENTS
The musical instruments owned by the congregation shall be the direct responsibility of the person who plays
them, each member shall be financially responsible for any damage caused to the musical instruments, likewise,
each member is responsible for the care of the instrument(s) he/she plays and must ensure that no other person
outside the worship ministry makes use of them.

Instruments, altar, cables and equipment should be in the best possible condition before each service.
Each member of the ministry is responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of his or her microphone, cables and
musical instruments.

DWELLING OF GOD
4.9.3 SOUND EQUIPMENT, MAINTENANCE AND CALIBRATION
The sound equipment must be cleaned by the delegate in charge of the sound, the sound calibration will be
under the responsibility of the sound manager and the ministry coordinator. It is forbidden for any member of
the worship ministry to tamper with the sound equipment under any circumstances.

It is the responsibility of the sound person to have all equipment to be used properly connected prior to each
rehearsal or service.

The sound officer shall ensure that during the worship time all instruments are at a volume within an
appropriate sound range.

The sound manager will take care of the equipment. In case of breakdowns, the ministry coordinator and the
pastor should be informed immediately.

4.9.4 PERSONAL APPEARANCE

It is the duty of group members to take care of their personal grooming and appearance during each activity.

Any form of dress that in any way sensually provokes the senses of the members of the congregation or the
members of the worship team should be avoided, i.e., any form of dress that in any way sensually provokes the
senses of the members of the congregation or the members of the worship team should be avoided:

• Tight clothing
• Short skirts
• Wide necklines
• Dark lenses
• Piercings and tattoos.

If there is a uniform for the worship ministry, its use shall be obligatory in the celebration of the general services.

4.10 REQUIREMENTS TO REMAIN IN WORSHIP MINISTRY

4.10.1 COMPLY WITH ALL THE PROVISIONS OF THIS DOCUMENT
Members of the worship ministry must comply with all that is established in this document. Failure to comply
with one or more of the rules and recommendations set forth herein will be grounds for suspension from service
or expulsion from the worship ministry, as the case may be.

4.10.2 ATTEND PRACTICE, REHEARSAL, PRAYER, FASTING, AND ANY OTHER SESSIONS CALLED BY THE
WORSHIP MINISTRY COORDINATOR IN A TIMELY MANNER
Members who do not respond appropriately to the calls made by the worship ministry coordinator may be
suspended from service or expelled from the worship ministry. Members who are not punctual may be removed
from duty until they attend on time.

Tabernacle of _______
Revival
DWELLING OF GOD
4.10.3 ACTIVELY STUDY TO IMPROVE YOUR INSTRUMENT AND VOICE
Since it is completely biblical for the worship minister to play and sing with skill, it is necessary for all
MUSICIANS, DIRECTORS and those who aspire to lead to study independently in a music academy, with a music
tutor, professional musician, online or by any other means.
The members who participate in the ministry as choristers are not obliged to study in a musical establishment,
but they are obliged to practice in their homes every day, making use of the material that will be provided,
likewise the worship coordinator may coordinate singing practice sessions to instruct them in this craft.

Any member of the ministry who is negligent and does not improve the performance and technique of his or her
instrument or voice may be suspended from participating in his or her privilege.

In case of suspension due to negligence, the member may be reinstated provided that he/she demonstrates that
he/she has significantly improved in relation to his/her previous status.

5 ORGANIZATION OF THE MINISTRY

The group should have a defined structure with the purpose that each member has clarity of their functions, and
thus have greater fluidity in the worship ministry.

• The coordinator of the worship ministry is the primary authority in the ministry and should be subject
to the pastor or his delegates.
• The worship directors are in charge of supporting the coordinator and also of leading the services; they
do not have authority over the other members of the worship ministry.
• All members, both singers and instrumentalists, shall be subject to the worship coordinator or acting
worship directors with regard to the performance of the service.
• Members of the worship ministry may serve in any other area of the church on an occasional basis, but
it is not recommended that they actively participate in any other area, since the performance of service
in the area of worship requires much time and effort from each one of us.
• The sound manager is a member of the worship ministry, but in addition to his or her responsibilities,
he or she will be in charge of the care and calibration of the sound.
