     SCOPE:

    The scope of the SOP of repair procedure is to establish the steps/guidelines to repair the
    piping/ tubes.

     EXTENT OF REPAIR:

    During the boiler testing/process like hydro test, water flushing, pneumatic test & other
    process, found any leakages on the pipe/tube. Location marked drawing should be attached.

     REPAIR PROCEDURE

    Item/spool description:

     PROCEDURE:

    a) Identify the damaged pipe/tube areas on the above mentioned location.


    b) Cut & replace the tube portions with the tube Spool length is minimum 300.mm to
    maximum suite at site. (as applicable)
    c) Carry out edge preparation on pipe/ tube ends and new spool piece as per WPS.
    d) Carry out the weld set-up of tube to new spool tube joints as per the WPS (Ensure the
    joint ID shall me matched) and shall be inspected by Customer Engineer.

    e) Carry out full welding with GTAW/SMAW process as per WPS No:

    f) As per WPS the following welding consumables shall be used for welding process.

    g) Carry out visual inspection of welded joints and the joints shall be NDT100%.
    h) Joint set-up, welding & NDE shall be properly documented.

     RESPONSIBILITY:

    It shall be the responsibility of OUR COMPANY to make all necessary arrangements for
    repairing of pipe/ tubes, visual and NDT clearance as per our approved QAP.
