Q1. (a) Write the following text in Writer window.
Calculating Across Tables
You can perform calculations that span across more than one table in a
text document.
Open a text document, insert two tables, and type numbers in a few
cells in both tables.
Place your cursor in an empty cell in one of the tables.
Press F2.
In the Formula Bar, enter the function that you want to perform, for
example, =SUM.
Click in a cell containing a number, press the plus sign (+), and then click
in a different cell containing a number. Press Enter.

(b) Now apply the following styles on the above written text:
1. Apply “Heading-1” style to the text highlighted with yellow
color.
2. Apply “First Line Indent” style to the text highlighted with
aqua color.
3. Apply “List Indent” style and “Numbering 1” style to the text
highlighted with green color.
(c) Paste the screenshot of all the styles applied.

Q2. Write the steps to insert an image in a document. Explain all


three methods along with screenshots.

Q.2. Given a worksheet that stores the top 5 student’s marks. The Final
marks are calculated as 25% of Term 1 marks + 30% of Term2 marks
and 45% of Term3 marks. The Term3 marks entered in the worksheet
are estimated marks.

In order to avail the scholarship, the student must obtain Final% as


>80%.

student to meet this condition. For this:

i) Use the Scenario for Term 3 values to get desired result in final %.

ii) Use Goal Seek by taking target cell from final % column and variable
cell from Term3 column.

Q3. Using the sheet given in Q.2., write the steps to record Macro in Open
Office CALC and paste the screenshot of the same.

There are three ways to insert an image in a text document.
1. Inserting an image From a File
2. Inserting an image From the Gallery With Drag-and-Drop

2. Click in the document where you want to insert the graphic.
3. Choose Insert - Picture - From File.
4. Locate the graphic file that you want to insert, and then click Open.
By default, the inserted graphic is centered above the paragraph that
you clicked in.

2. Inserting an image From the Gallery With Drag-


and-Drop
You can drag-and-drop an object from the gallery into a text document,
spreadsheet, drawing, or presentation.

To replace a gallery object that you inserted in a document, hold down


Shift+Ctrl, and then drag a different gallery object onto the object.

3. Inserting a Scanned Image
To insert a scanned image, the scanner must be connected to your system and
the scanner software drivers must be installed.
1. Click in the document where you want to insert the scanned image.
2. Choose Insert - Picture - Scan, and choose the scanning source from the
submenu.
3. Follow the scanning instructions.

The steps for Data Consolidations are as under:
1. First create a new Calc workbook and design two sheets Sheet1 and Sheet2
as follows:

2. Now click on Sheet3 and GoTo DataConsolidateSelect Function as


‘Sum’.

3. Click on Shrink button in front of ‘source data range’ and select data of
sheet1 with column headings and click on ‘Add” button.

4. Again click on Shrink button in front of ‘source data range’ and select data
of sheet2 with column headings and click on ‘Add” button.

5. Click on ‘More’ button and select the check boxes

6. Click on ‘Ok’ button.

7. You will see that data of Sheet1 and Sheet2 has been consolidated into
Sheet3.

5. CREATING SCENARIO FOR TERM3 COLUMN
STEPS:
(i) Select the data of Term3 column.
(ii) Click on menu ToolsScenarios…
(iii) Type the name of Scenario and uncheck the box “Copy
Back”. Click on Ok.

6. CREATING GOAL SEEK FOR FINAL% COLUMN


STEPS:-

(i) Click on menu ToolsGoal Seek…

(ii) Select the Formula cell where you have calculated Final% i.e.F4.

(iii) Type the Target Value as 80.

(iv) Select the Variable Cell as D4. Press Ok button.

(v) You will see the following result.

4. It will open a dialog box. Give macro a name, ‘Macro1’. Click on Save.

6. Select the data of Sheet2 and Goto ToolsMacrosRun Macro.


7. Select the macro with name ‘Macro1’ and click on ok button.
8. You will see that Sheet2 is formatted in same way as that of Sheet1.
