WHEREAS, the spread of dengue fever has become a pressing public health concern in our barangay,
posing a significant threat to the health and well-being of our residents.
WHEREAS, it is imperative for the barangay to take proactive measures and implement effective
strategies to prevent and control the transmission of dengue fever within our community.
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the barangay to ensure the safety and welfare of its constituents,
especially in matters concerning public health.
The Barangay Council emphasizes the importance of conducting regular "search and destroy"
operations for mosquito breeding places in the barangay, including stagnant water, unused
containers, and other potential breeding sites, to minimize the proliferation of dengue-carrying
mosquitoes.
The Barangay Council shall organize and conduct information dissemination campaigns and
educational programs to raise awareness about dengue prevention and control measures among the
residents of the barangay.
The Barangay Council shall actively collaborate and coordinate with the Barangay Health Center, the
Department of Health, local schools, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective
implementation of dengue prevention initiatives.
The Barangay Council shall regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the dengue prevention
program and submit progress reports to the Barangay Captain on a quarterly basis.
The Barangay Council shall allocate necessary resources and manpower to support the
implementation of the dengue prevention program, including the procurement of necessary
equipment, supplies, and the engagement of personnel.
The Barangay Council shall extend full support to the Barangay Health Center in providing prompt and
adequate healthcare services to residents exhibiting symptoms of dengue fever.
Section 9. Effectivity:
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution shall be furnished to all concerned offices and
agencies for their information and guidance.
