2 The Dialogue

I am going to research about the loss of biodiversity in Costa Rica and the principal
effects that it causes to the ecosystem and humanity. I will question how biodiversity impacts
society and their solutions in the population of Costa Rica. The loss of biodiversity and species
diversity is catastrophic, leading to lowered ecosystem productivity, extinction of species and
threat to human life.

Biodiversity ecosystems provide many essential services, such as carbon sequestration,

water filtration, and soil formation. In addition, they support pollinators, which are essentials for
the production of many of the world's food crops. By maintaining a diverse range of species,
ecosystems are better equipped to withstand and recover from disturbances, such as natural
disasters and climate change. Individuals and organizations are working to promote sustainable
tourism, educated communities, and support scientific research. These efforts help to raise
awareness of the importance of biodiversity and to promote the conservation of endangered
species.

Based on my research, and after I analyzed different aspects about this situation,
unfortunately, many species of Costa Rica are facing threats from habitat loss, climate change,
and hunting. However, there are ongoing conversations, efforts and success stories that give hope
for the future of endangered species in Costa Rica. I agree how people from Costa Rica protected
their biodiversity making organization to never lose the species of plants and animals, and I think
that is a good effort to improve in every country because with the passing of the years our world
is changing with less environment that also can affect us as humans.
