Basavanagudi – Inference
• The area's earlier planned wide network of streets, public spaces and
parks/open spaces still continue to contribute in elevating the quality of
life effectively.

• Planning principles that were used aimed at developing compatible built

environment while providing maximum benefits from the natural setting.
The impact of this consideration is reflected in the particular aspect that
the Basavanagudi area still continues to be a vibrant and significant
neighborhood of Bangalore city while efficiently adapting to the changing
urban scenarios.

“The layout had the right balance of residential and open spaces. There
were well-defined areas for cultural activities, religious structure, schools
and even clubs. It had spaces for all amenities that would make a
neighbourhood vibrant” urban Architect Naresh Narasimhan
