Study Habits

According to (Khan et al., 2021) Study habits are the regular, routine behavior of studying that

also affects the cognitive process. Study habits encompass a wide range of tasks, such as time

management, goal-setting, choosing a suitable study space, taking notes in an appropriate manner, and

structuring a study schedule. Academic achievement is dependent on study habits. Students' academic

performance is greatly enhanced by a consistent study schedule because it fosters a sense of

productivity and efficiency that raises test scores while lowering stress levels. Researchers asserted that

there is a link between study habits and academic performance and that these habits are one of the

factors that contribute to academic success.

According to (Loan, 2021) Study habits are the approaches or routines one uses to absorb the

information and succeed in their studies. These are distinguished by the manner, timing, and motivation

of study. Study habits are the regular time a person dedicates to understanding a phenomena, getting

ready for an exam, or pursuing a degree. The different behavioral patterns someone adopts to be ready

for an exam or acquire academic subject are called study habits. Academic success is primarily prompted

by effective study habits. Study habits are crucial for both academic achievement and the overall

development of a person's personality.

According to (Rabia et al., 2017) An important factor in the growth of knowledge and

perception is good study habits. A person's study habits reveal his or her level of learning, degree of

ambition, and desired income. All of these could be chosen throughout the course of a lifetime with the

aid of one's study habits. As a result, it is believed that study habits and academic success are related.

According to (Tus et al., 2020) The foundation of a learner's academic performance is their

study habits. It is a routine activity that students carry out on a daily basis, much like reading, taking

notes, leading study groups, and meeting learning objectives. Depending on how well it benefits the
pupils, it can be classified as either beneficial or detrimental. Therefore, establishing the link between

students' academic achievement and their study habits was the main goal of the study. The study habits

and academic performance of the respondents were characterized by means of the descriptive-

correlation design.
