CASE STUDY QUESTION
Harsha has a small-scale industry which produces two types of pens. He invested Rs.48,000 in the first
week. If the production cost of each type -x and Type -y pens is Rs.6 and Rs.15 per pen respectively. Due
to the raise in cost of raw material, the production cost of type-x and type -y pens is increased by Rs.2 and
Rs. 3 respectively. So over all he invested Rs.12000 more on the same production in 2nd week. Read the
above information carefully and answer the following questions

(i) Write a pair linear equations in two variable which represent two situations.
(ii) Find x and y intercepts of the equation which represents production in first week
(iii) Find the points where the equation which represents the production in second week cuts
x axis and y axis
