Principal component analysis (PCA) and hierarchical clustering (HCA) were applied on selected peaks of the spectral data. The most important chemical groups found in all maize landrace samples were monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, tetralerpenes, aminoacids, polysaccharides, lipids and proteins.
