Important:
The arms are attached to the body as follows: Make the single
crochet stitches until you reach the side of the body. Then, insert
the hook into a stitch on the arm, from the outside to the inside
(see the guide pictures, or the supporting video). Weave all the
stitches on the arm, and go to the next stitch on the body, the
next stitch from the one you wove before the arm.

CONTINUATION - BODY
Before we continue, let's articulate the arms with wire. You can do
this in two ways:
- By cutting two pieces of wire, and inserting one into each arm. This
way you can bend the arms as you like.
- By cutting a large piece of wire that goes from the end of one arm to
the other, and goes across the body. This way the movement of the
arms is wider.
Remember to always bend the ends of the wire, so that it doesn't

damage the stitches on the inside.
And then finish the body:

Put a piece of the hot glue tube on

the neck to firm it up, and close it
with reverse MR.

BODY DETAILS
In this step we will add the body details, starting
with the legs.
With the black yarn, insert the hook into the

apparent loops of round 11 of the legs, and make: 1

Fasten off and hide the yarn scraps.

Now we will make the shoe straps, two for each
foot.
Still with black yarn, make four strips of 5 chains

each. Leave some yarn on both sides, to insert into

the body.
Place the strips on the feet, fix them with glue and
hide the yarn leftovers.
With the silver fabric paint, paint a small part of the 4

stripes, on the outer edge of each one, to simulate
buckles. If you wish, you can do this detail with
embroidery as well.

It's time for the belt buckle.
With the silver yarn (or gray), stitch the belt buckle
between rounds 22 and 23 of the body, making two
horizontal and two vertical lines. (image 6) 6

CONTINUATION - BODY DETAILS
Finally, we will do the details of the Death Belt (rounds 22-23).
Here you can use whatever material you prefer and have access to. I
used nickel plated pins cut with pliers and held with glue, and since the
pins are small, I made two rows of details inside the belt.
You can also use silver spikes (be sure to use glue before applying to
the body) or even embroider French knots. If you prefer to embroider, I
recommend using a thinner thread, so that the details are more
delicate. Make a loop around the entire belt with the chosen option.
Below are guide images for each of the above alternatives:
Nickel-plated pins Spikes French Knot
TIP: This tip is for you who are going to use spikes or pins. Before
applying them to the body, use a needle to open up the point where
you will place your spike/pin. This way you don't run the risk of the glue
drying out or oozing out, and they will go in much easier.

SHIRT
The shirt is worked in rows. At the end of each row, make 1 chain to turn
the piece over.
With the black yarn, make

Leave some yarn leftover to sew one side of the blouse to the other.
Put the shirt on the amigurumi with the sewn part facing the back.
Join the stitches from one side to the other. Finish the stitching and
hide the yarn scraps.
GLOVES
1) 6sc in the MR
2) (1sc, 1inc) x3 [9]

Attach the gloves to the arms.

ANKH The symbol of Life.
The Egyptian cross pendant is made of crochet, using very fine thread
(Size 10) and a 1.0mm hook. If you prefer you can use alternative
materials, such as porcelain clay, photo paper, wire...
Do it the way you feel most comfortable, but don't forget to do it,
because the symbol of Life is the most important detail of Death.
With the gray thread, make
1) 10ch. Skip the first one, and

make only 4sc.
2) Starting from the last sc made, 1 2
go up 9 more chains and attach
with 1slst in the side loop of the
last sc.
3) Go up 4ch. Skip the first one, and
3 4
make 3sc. Pin with 1slst in the same
loop of the sc as in the previous
row.
4) Make 6sc in the remaining
chains. Finish and cut the yarn
5 6
scraps.
For a shiny finish, you can paint the pendant with silver fabric paint.
When you are done with the piece, rub some white glue on it to harden
it and make it firm, and wait for it to dry well. Take the jewelry ring and
an 8cm piece of silver chain. Place the ring at the top of the cross, slip
the chain through the ring, and close it using another ring. Place the
chain around the neck.

EXPRESSION
This is where we will bring the amigurumi to life!
We will use thinner threads so that the expression will be

more detailed and therefore more striking.
- The first step is to indent the eyes (images 1 and 2). This step is
important to give depth and dimension to the face.
- With a white yarn, embroider the outer part of the eyes (image 3), just
to give some texture to the look, since the yarn is the same color as the
face.
- Then, with the black thread, embroider the upper eyeliner (images 4,
5 and 6). Don't fix yourself to the shape of the eye, the intention is to
lengthen the eye. To fix the embroidery in a more rounded shape, use
fabric glue to secure it (see the support video).

CONTINUATION - EXPRESSION
- For the lower eyeliner, use the sewing thread. Embroider a line below
the eye that stretches slightly out of the eye in a gentle upward curve
(image 1). Embroider lower lashes as well (image 2).
- Now we will make the detail below the left eye (with the amigurumi
facing you), which is the makeup worn by Death. If you have a ghost
pen/removable marker, draw the shape below (image 3) before
embroidering. If not, take your time and slowly adjust to the size you
prefer. (images 4 and 5)
To achieve the rounded shape use the same technique as before,

using the fabric glue.
- Finally, embroider the eyebrow between rows 11-13 covering 6

stitches, in a diagonal line (images 6 and 7). Reinforce the embroidery if
you find it necessary.
The face is ready!

HAIR
The hair is made in 2 layers of hairlocks. The first layer is made from
the base of the hair, and the second layer is made in the apparent
loops of round 4 of the base, which is made in BLO.
We will start from the base of the hair, and follow with the first layer of
locks.

Make 1slst in the next stitch.
From here we will start the
fringe strands.
Always start on the second chain from the

hook. At the end of each lock, make 1slst
in the next stitch, and go up the chains of
the next one.
Locks 1 and 2) 15ch. 2slst, 12sc [14]
The next two strands are done on the

same base stitch:
Lock 3) 13ch. 2slst, 10sc [12]
Make 1slst in the same stitch from
which the lock came out.
Close with 1slst in the next stitch.

CONTINUATION - HAIR
The next two strands are done on the same base stitch:
Lock 10) 16ch. 2slst, 13sc [15] - Make 1slst in the same stitch from
which the lock came out.
Lock 11) 16ch. 2slst, 13sc [15] - Close with 1slst in the next stitch.

Now we will make the rest of the locks from the first layer, which are
positioned around the head. They are worked in half double crochet.

Fasten off and hide the yarn tails.
SECOND LAYER
For the locks of the second layer, we will insert the hook into the first
stitch of round 4 of the hair base, in the apparent loop.
Continue starting all the locks on the second chain from the hook. At the
end of each lock, make 1slst in the next stitch, and go up the chains of
the next one.

CONTINUATION - HAIR

Lock 4) 9 ch. 2slst, 6sc [8]
From here, the strands are again worked in hdc.

Locks 9 to 17) 24ch. 2slst, 1sc, 20hdc [23] (9 hairlocks)
Let's move on to the hair styling.

HAIR STYLING
Let's start by tidying up the bangs. Center the hair on the head with
the smaller strands facing forward. Separate the locks from the
second layer, so that they don't get in the way. We will fix them all with
glue.
The locks 1 and 2 are positioned next to the left eye, close to the
embroidery. The locks 3, 4 and 5 are placed right after. Do not glue
the whole strand to the face, fix only the beginning of them, so that
the ends have movement.
Locks 6 and 7 are positioned in the center of the forehead, slightly

slanted to the right. Locks 8 and 9 are slanted to the right and sit
slightly above the right eye. Strands 10, 11 and 12 are placed next to
the previous ones. Remember to glue only the beginning of the
strands.
With the help of pins, position the remaining strands of the first layer
around the head. Fix each of them with glue.

CONTINUATION - HAIR STYLING
Separate the smaller strands of the second layer, and position them
forward as shown in the image below. The locks 1 to 3 will be
positioned on the right side of the face. Lock 4 is on top of the middle
forehead strands. Locks 5 and 6 face the left side of the face.
Finally, arrange the rest of the strands all over your head, fixing only the
beginning of them with glue.
Apply a mix of white glue and water (I use a 1:1 ratio (1 measure of
water, 1 of white glue) to the ends of all the strands so that they are
straight and secure. You can apply it with a brush or with a spray bottle.
You can bend them up a bit to give the hair an even greater sense of
movement.
Let it dry thoroughly

before sewing on the
head.
And it's done!

To make the umbrella handle, cut a

piece of wire in the shape of the picture
on the side, it is about 6cm/2,4in high
(with the tip already bent).
You can wrap the folded part with

black thread and fix it with glue, or you
can paint it with black paint/nail polish,
or even use biscuit. Here I used black
thread.
Put glue on the handle and fit it inside

the umbrella.

Finalizing
Put the top hat on her head, the umbrella next to her...
And Death has just assumed her amigurumi form!
